Marc Anthony. Who is he, you may well ask? Well, in my opinion he is a genius song writer and an incredibly talented and heart-felt singer: a man that puts his whole being into every word he sings.
Marc Anthony is a 32 year old American Latino, born and raised in Spanish Harlem. Although he has had a huge following in Latin countries since the early 90's, he only received international acclaim in the English speaking world after the release of this ... ...kick-started by his huge hit - 'I need to know' and the album subsequently sold a staggering 2 million copies in the US alone. Marc is a talented individual, not only does he sing the songs, but he has also co-written 10 of the tracks.
Such is his popularity, a leading Puerto Rican newspaper hailed Anthony as 'A prophet in his native land' . He has also been called the 'Reigning king of salsa' - high praise indeed.

Marc Anthony is a Puerto Rican New Yorker, a Nuyorican, as they have decided to call themselves. He has been around for some years, I believe this is his first English language album, but don't quote me on that. He has starred in a few films, one of which being 'Sneakers', if any of you remeber it, I think it was about computer hackers?
It is the way his voice brakes in the middle of a note that gives it such sincerity ... ...know that whoever he is singing these songs to is definitely a lucky lady. Well, he's singing them to Jennifer Lopez now isn't he? Who would have guessed back then, not I, that's for sure!

...easy listening stuff that reminds me the kind of mellow jazz that used to accompany the cheesy love scenes in Miami Vice.
Its very easy to listen to and the kind you could have on in the background and not really pay any attention to, so its good for times when you want to fill the silence but not be distracted.
It’s not some of Ricky’s best work by any means but if you are a true and dedicated fan it’s a must for your collecting ... ...songs are in Spanish and as I said before it has a very dated late eights/early nineties feel (its copyrighted 1993) and can be found in a surprisingly large number of music stores for around £5.99. I definitely wouldn’t pay more than that for it as a (I hate to admit it) but it’s really not worth paying more that that and b you can now find it all over the place and 5.99 is the average price. To sum up, don’t bother with this album ...

...UK it was re-released with a completely new album cover. The original version has some very strange yet amusing pictures of him, in some rather funny poses. This was also in his days of long hair, if you've seen general hospital you'll know what I'm talking about!!
