Flavors of Entanglement is the latest instalment from the fantastic Alanis Morissette. Since the staggering success of Jagged Little Pill in 1995 Alanis has continued to create album after album of pure bliss. With a gap of 4 years since her last studio album - So Called Chaos - it was an eagerly awaited purchase. The version I am reviewing is the deluxe editon with bonus cd. It cost me £14.99 from HMV which is more than I would normally be happy ... ...The main album has eleven tracks, the bonus disc another five. ~ Main CD tracks ~

Bought the album and have played it so many times that my wife must be going mad, she hates her music as much as I love it. From the first track to the last this album is full of all her hits. If you are new to her this is a great album to buy, as this will give you a taste of a lot of her albums. Most people think that she has one song Big yellow taxi, but I would recommend Chinese cafe from Wild things run fast, other songs like Be cool, For the ... ...from the early days of the late 60's upto the late 90's. This means that you can see the way her music has changed in her opinions and beliefs as she has grown through her life and career.
Joni Mitchell in my opinion is an acquired taste, but if you like this greatest hits, then you will go seek out her other albums.

...her earlier stuff on The Fame album. It reminds me of a summer track, listening to it whilst just chilling on the beach. It's not as catchy as the other songs but it does bring something different to this album.
8) Teeth - To be honest when i first listened to this song i thought 'What the Hell is she doing?!?' Its hard to describe this song. It reminds me of a song that would be performed in a cabaret bar and it really is an old-fashioned number. ... ...Dangerous album. He uses old school beats and strange sounding vocals to create a unique song for Lady GaGa. After a few listens to this song i found myself clicking my fingers and tapping my feet to the beat. I'm looking forward to seeing her perform this live when i go see her in concert in 2010.

Advantages: Excellent, witty lyrics with a decent range of style. Jarvis is just too cool.. Disadvantages: No real 'big hitter' of a track that you'd find on a Pulp album if your a more general listener

The title track is certainly a great opener, catchy and witty which pretty much sums up the rest of the Album. 'Angela' is one of those songs that will get in your head until people end up asking you why the hell you keep saying Angela in a funny accent and who the hell she is! other examples of this raspy ... ...tracks; not the sort that will come on your iPod shuffle and you'll skip. There are more soleful elements to the album too; Discosong and Hold Still, Hold Still especially as one of those typical 'I can barely hear him but it sounds so good' Cocker songs. It's probably become obvious that I mention nearly every song as 'Solid' but this is definately where this album comes in and it does not really contain a big chart hitting song. Then again, who ...
