Advantages: Addictive, don't get bored of the songs.
Disadvantages: Why did they split up!!

I bought this album because I am a big fan of Spandau Ballet and especially because it contained the song 'Through the Barricades'. This album was very nice to listen to and has some of Spandau Ballet's later songs. It has nine tracks and most were very good in my opinion. No-No...........No Good These Days

Advantages: Slick 80's pop
Disadvantages: Not their best

..."No-no-notorious notorious" later sampled by Notorious BIG and Puff Daddy in 1999. The songs then eases into a slinky, faux-funk groove and is really one of the best tracks they've recorded. Typical Duran lyrics are abound with nods to "flakey bandits" and "boys making noise" and a great female "gasp" sample to add a little bit of tension to the tack. God knows what they're on about, but hold on kids, because it's a downhill ride from hereon in. ...
...the rest of the album is the tempo. Apart from a couple of upbeat tracks and a really slow one, the rest seem to find a balance somewhere in between and occupy that mid-tempo kind of groove that Oasis seemed to have settled for on their last two albums. This track, while not particularly bad, just doesn't affect me in the way their earlier stuff did. Remember the macho excitement of Wild Boys or the exoticism of Rio? oh why, it could have all been so different, duran seem to have always found a way to shoot themselves in the foot, and this probably took both feet off, after the phenomenal success of the wedding album duran decided to release an album of cover versions! Perfect day was ok, and Lou reed says the best version of his song official! and white lines featuring melle mel was pretty good and even made top twenty, but mots of the other songs here just ...

Advantages: cheap mid price
Disadvantages: didn't do well chartwise, but who cares

this'll get you out of your head, shouted le bon at the start of violence of summer, I wouldnt go that far, but this was certainly a step in the right direction.
