Advantages: Songs never grow old, surprisingly good versions by interesting artists Disadvantages: You may not like all the artists on the album, but that shouldn't stop you
Little can be added to the praise that has always been heaped on Carole King's album "Tapestry". But a group of artists have found a better way than words to show their admiration and love for this practically perfect collection of songs. With a plethora of artists from Celine Dion to Manhattan Transfer to Rod Stewart, this Tribute will appeal to practically everyone. Granted, not all the artists' will suit the taste of true lovers of the original ... ...there is a lot to recommend this album.
My personal favorite track on this album is Manhattan Transfer's version of "Smackwater Jack". This ballad like song, with its slightly country overtones, seems to fit the voices of this group like a glove. They've done nothing particularly special with the song, but still, it seems like they have revitalized it.
You might not blame me if my least favorite track was Celine Dion's version of "(You Make Me ...
Advantages: You'll feel enjoy when you listen this album Disadvantages: Not good for children
...the melody played by Slash. Use your illusion I is the first album of my collection, and now I am collected all of the album of this band. Not a long time, I built a band with my classmate. I wanna be a good guitar player at that time. So, I try to learn the melody and then we play the song in the studio. On the other hand, I was dissappointed with the band because the personel cannot keep the band exist until now. they broke the band,. they broke ...
Advantages: Thought-provoking lyrics, a couple of good songs Disadvantages: Not on a par with previous work
...to describe their style of music is indie/rock/punk. I opine that they are very similar to Blondie. Ditto's voice is not musically elite, and she relies a lot on raising her voice slightly, but its presence on their tracks fits comfortably, and she also sounds slightly out-of-tune, in the manner that Deborah Harry does.
I bought this particular album with slight trepidation, as I had been slightly disappointed by the predecessor to 'Standing in ... ...been out for a few weeks, it cost me only £7.99 from HMV. A sticker on the front tells me that the album features the single 'Heavy Cross', a song I haven't heard of, probably due to the fact that the band aren't all that mainstream. Still at £7.99, even if I only liked a few of the songs, it would still be worth it. The title 'Music for Men' did bemuse, yet, interest me, considering the singer's feminism. The cover displays a picture of a handsome ...

Advantages: It's The Rasmus!, lyrics Disadvantages: Some tracks aren't very memorable
...8/10 02. Ten Black Roses (3:54) The best song on the album in my opinion, and actually ranking as one of my favourite Rasmus songs. It starts deceptively slow, but soon kicks in as a harder rocky track. The lyrics are beautiful; Ylönen’s voice really suits the theme well, promising to be a ghostly admirer to leave the object of his affection a bouquet of ten black roses whenever she’s feeling sad and can’t show it. It’s a very bittersweet ... ...out for me is Ten Black Roses, the album needed a few more catchier songs. Most of them wash over you. Usually I find myself singing Rasmus songs long after I’ve heard them, but I don’t think the same can be said for this album (bar Ten Black Roses). Perfect for fans of the band, though, and I encourage people who have enjoyed their previous work to give it a try. ...
