Advantages: Decent metal tunes and there are 32 tracks which isn't bad for the price. Disadvantages: Quality of some of the live tracks/B-sides
It's an awful burden for bands when they have a hit that gets played just as much as "The Final Countdown" did as it often seems to override any of their other musical accomplishments. This release is an impressive collection of Europe's best tracks as well as live tracks, B-sides and demos and should go to some lengths to prove that they are not a one song band!

It should be noted that there are several other Europe Greatest Hits albums available- this one however claims to be the best with its "digital remastering" but that is a matter of opinion. So whereas it only contains a few new tracks for long term fans of the band, it's a nice album to own if you want to check out material by the Swedish metallers who've influenced so many new Scandinavian bands out there. Europe's music won't change your life. The lyrics are average and the guitar riffs have been replicated by band after band- but they are undeniably fun and rather uplifting.
Advantages: good guitar solo's Disadvantages: corny as hell
Europe, haha. They're just funny. The one-hit wonder Final Countdown hitmakers now show the world their 'greatest hits'. What? 'Greatest hit' i think. To be honest, i had not heard of any other song on the album until i bought it, except from the comical 'Final Countdown'. To be fair, Europe aren't too bad, they're talented musicians, who write wierd, origianal (sort of) music, and also did an amazing, power-pop single Final Countdown, which they ... ...sound a lot like 'final countdown', and undergo the same format, but they are catchy enough. You should buy this album so you can play it in front of your friends for a laugh, but it is no-way insightful or easy listening. I don't know what sort of people genuinly like Europe, but i am not one (my friend bought the CD for a joke, i am borrowing it off him[???]). This will probably sell a fair few copies because it is good disco music, but it is no ...
