Advantages: Easily available Disadvantages: May not appeal to non-fans
...If only he would!
No, seriously this album isn't what you'd expect. It's not folky or religious in any way. I like Daniel's voice to be honest but I've never really liked any material until now.
The album is a series of cover versions from the 1950s, 60s and 70s as the title suggests. It's may be rock 'n' roll but don't expect it to be anything that would shock Granny.
Here's a track list.
1. Hello Mary Lou
2. Oh Boy
3. Do You Wanna Dance
4. All Shook Up
5. Three Steps To Heaven
6. When
7. Girl Of My Best Friend
8. Come On Over To My Place
9. When You Walk In The Room
10. Daydream Believer
11. Sweet Caroline
12. Wonderful Tonight
13. Walk Right Back (Duet With Mary Duff)
14. Beautiful Sunday
15. Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da
16. Is This The Way To Amarillo
17. Knock Three Times
18. I'm A Believer

Advantages: Great head banging action to be had! Disadvantages: Some tracks a bit repetitive
...Being a supporter of the band HIM - and back in the day a little bit of an obsessive fan, it must be said - I went to see them live as a late birthday present.
Their guitarist, dread locked and extremely thin, Mikko Lindstrom, to me, stole the show; his edgy, passionate guitar riffs simply made the performance and kept the fans driven all night long.
Upon my return from my live experience, I began to get more interested in the band, learning about their inspirations and stories from life on the road.
Then, I heard about a HIM side project called 'Daniel Lioneye', the band's 'sleaze rock' record.
Curious, I soon got the album. Lets just say I was shocked at what I was hearing...
Track number one 'The King of Rock 'NRoll' I recognised as the opening theme tune to cult MTV show 'Viva La Bam'. The raunchy electric guitar...

His debut single from that album was Bad Day when released in mid 2005 and got to number 2 in the singles charts and stayed in the top ten for 13 weeks!

The Album

This is an album which is mainly piano driven adult pop, it has echoes of soft rock acts such as Coldplay and Maroon 5.
Track list
1} Song 6
~~~~~~~~~
***I have no idea why this is called song 6 when it is the 1st song on the album…..You may not recognise this rather falsetto sound as being Daniel, at the beginning, A quite upbeat song, I like this.
So let's lie in the sun
You didn't want the world to know
But I'm not strong and you'll find out
And you get the rock 'n' roll
2} Free Loop
***This song starts off as rather a mellow track, but it eases gently into a very catchy tune, as I...
