Advantages: Great introduction to a songwriting genius Disadvantages: Will not be to everybody's taste
...styles of music. This song was a massive hit in 1968 a couple of weeks prior to the release of Hey Jude. At the time Jimmy's song was unprecedentedly long. Hey Jude, when released, was one second longer. No coincidence according to Jimmy who had visited the Beatles at Abbey road around this time.
It must be conceeded that Jimmy's music is not loved by all, it is very much a love or hate thing. A perfect demonstration of this is the fact that MacArthur Park occassionally turns up in the 'Worst Song Ever' polls that are sometimes conducted. Some people just don't get him, and that's fine, it's all down to personal taste.
If you are a fan of Country & Western you'll also have a fair bit of room in your heart for Jimmy. He wrote most of Glen Campbell's biggest hits ('Wichita Lineman', 'By the time I het to Phoenix' & 'Galveston'), all...

Advantages: Great lyrics and songwriting Disadvantages: Slightly overproduced?
...and really paint a picture of 'Lisa'
8. Carrying Cathy - Moving song about 'Cathy' and her death, possibly following mental illness.
9. Not the Same - Simplistic song about a man who climbed a tree drunk/stoned and found Jesus. Catchy and he gets the crowd to sing the harmonies live!
10. Rockin' the Suburbs - Guitar and bass heavy title track and lead single, complete with video by Weird Al. A song with very insightful lyrics and an attack on "Nu metal" a stark contrast to his previous work and even this album, but superb.
11. Fired - Much more laid back and fun than allot of the album. Catch piano riff and a big shout of "Mother f***er at the end. What else could you ever need!
12. The Luckiest - Love song originally written for a film but cut. The girlfriends favourite song on here (vital information for you) very mushy!

Advantages: a wonderful return of an american master Disadvantages: lyrics
..., the frightfully gifted prodigal son who, throughout mountains of PCP and cocaine, never came home. Stevie Wonder, the golden child who, through the power of his moog and his imagination, took the frenetic joy of the revival to Neptune.
I Can't Stop, Green's first full-length secular album in 26 years, succeeds in both showing how powerful and real the myth of Al Green is and in showing how the myth can differ from the artist as well. It not only shows why he is considered as, arguably, the greatest soul artist of all time, but also the full range of the gifts that made him mythic in nature, as well as the deeply human element of his art that has compelled people to it for over three decades. Those looking for the master of controlled sensuality and nearly unbearable sexual tension that created hit after breathtaking hit in the '70s will leave...
