Rocky II - Soundtrack

...Considering the whole Rush Hour franchise is sponsorship with Def Jam you would have thought this album would have been littered with tunes, but im afraid to say, like many soundtracks, the flatters to deceive with too many fillers to push the single 'Area Codes' Obviously the cd mainly consists of Def Jam artists, LL Cool J, Method Man, Montell Jordan and Luda and with the list of artists youd sometimes quite happily buy it without listening, i wouldnt bother. Area Codes - Ludacris & Nate Dogg. By far the best track on this album, single and video released Mine, Mine, Mine - Montell Jordan. Average follow up, doesnt do much to keep the flow going Party & Bullsh*t - Method Man & Teddy Riley. Poor productions from TR, his beats have been shot down so much i can see why. Advantages: Great music, great bands all on one cd.
Disadvantages: When you get 2 track 10 you get a bit bored of those songs.

...I have only slightly updated this, most of you will see that I've just review Spiderman 3 Soundtrack, this is the better version of Spiderman Soundtracks. This is litterally my favourite cd I've ever brought. I'm not all for buying soundtrack's to movies, I think that there's always one song you like but the other's pale in comparison. This is not the case. After seeing Spiderman 2 at the cinema I went to HMV and bought this cd, when I was on the way home I was a little bit worried, I've just spent £8.00 on a cd that I don't know is any good. This soundtrack has taken the best song off every album about at that time and put them on this soundtrack. Advantages: Good start to the cd with some household names
Disadvantages: Tails off with filler tracks

...Good film, good tracks. That pretty much describes this disc in a nutshell. Whenever you get an action comedy type film like this theres always a few interludes with dialouge from the film. This is no exception with 4 out of the 18 tracks lines from the film. 'What are you a cop or a model' is probably my fav. Will only hit home if youve watched the film though. In my opinion, soundtracks can be a bit hit and miss. This goes the same way, some good tracks which could have easily been released as singles and some average fillers that you know will never listen to again. The tracks that P Diddy has had involvement in are far and away better Show me your soul - P.Diddy, Lenny Kravitz, Pharrell & Loon. Single and video released. Good tune. La-La-La - Jay Z.
