Advantages: great Disadvantages: their are some filler tracks, and some tracks good guitar and singing quality is not so good
rolling stones shine a light
this compact disc was performed by the rolling stones at the beacon theatre in new york. i believe that not all the songs contained on the compact disc were all taken from the film; i think that some of the songs were taken from different live events from the bands most recent american tour. the album has two discs and contains twenty two tracks, two of which are non musical as you will find out.
1 jumping jack flash 4:22 -being the first track on this compact disc is of much interest as it has always been one of my favourites. in the track the rolling stones are introduced to the stadium by the master of ceremonies, and later martin scorsese is heard saying "first song".
the track begins by the introduction guitar notes from keith richards and seconds later some soft drum beats from charlie watts ...
Advantages: Great Tracks Throughout, In A Different Style To Their Others Disadvantages: A Few More Bonus Tracks Would Have Been Nice
In the album catalogue of The Band, Stage Fright is often seen as their third best album behind their two previous releases, and that is a far assessment, but in my opinion it is an album that is so different from their previous records that it is quite a difficult one to judge against their others. As an album, it has to be one of my favourite albums by The Band to listen to, but then I have always enjoyed the more rock based style that they take on here. And this is what makes this album so different to Music From Big Pink and The Band (The Brown Album), as it doesn?t contain some of their more folk/roots backing, instead moving into more guitar, piano and drums, which isn?t a bad thing, as they are equally as adept at this as they are at the backing used on their previous albums.

Advantages: Wonderful source material; appealing arrangements with long shelf life; excellent sound; BBC Concert Orchestra. Disadvantages: Sharon's violin, Corrs' vocal harmonies underused; bubblegum track, 'Old Town'.
