Advantages: Outstanding compositions and playing

...Stefano di Battista brings a welcome touch of Mediterranean warmth to the jazz quartet in this recording from 2000. And it's not just in the (endless!) dedications to his family in the acknowledgements, but in the flavour of his alto and, particularly, his soprano sax playing. The three tracks where the quartet are joined by trumpeter Flavio Boltro are outstanding, as they yield dialogues between the two lead instruments as exciting as you will find on a recent issue. There is a fine mixture of delicate and up-front playing. Debts are acknowledged (most openly on the boppish "Adderley"). All the tunes are composed by members of the quartet; the best among them are "Your Romance", "Song for Flavia" and "Time for a Solo" - the latter not just because of the nonchalance of its title. An amazing, under-appreciated album.

Advantages: The strength and cohesion of tracks on the album.
Disadvantages: Runs a little long in terms of tracks.

...Parklife, like the vast majority of British rock albums of the 90s, was passed up in the United States upon its release in 1994: despite its massive critical and cultural success in the UK, and despite its incredible collection of songs. Wringing British rock for all it was worth-the Beatles, Bowie, The Kinks, Magazine, to name a few; guitars, bass, saxophones, drums, and burning keyboards-and adding their own oft-times quirky, funny and cynical views of British life in the modern era, Blur made of an album of wit and "kitchen-sink" drama a masterpiece. It's not a concept album per se, but rather a cohesive album with songs that fit together just right-without, of course, impinging on their individual qualities as songs. Dirty Dancing - I challenge you not to!

Advantages: Contains all the best tracks from the film
Disadvantages: When i think of one il post one!

...about lovers but its one that gets you moving. It's actually from a part of the film where Babys sister goes to her holiday romance to make love for the first time and finds him in bed with someone else! But it won't fail to get you dancing and smiling! This is most definitely the most upbeat track on the album, the kind of song you listen to as you get ready to go on a night out - its one that will get you in the mood. Blow Monkeys - You Don't Own Me (3.01 Mins) This track has a very slow sexy introduction, just a Saxophone and gentle drums. The lead singer 'Dr. Robert' has a very sexy deep throaty singing voice. The verses are very slow and soulful leading into a catchy chorus. This is another track for the lovers, best played at the end of a night as a wind down track. Bruce Channel - Hey!
