Mcfly are a band that consist of four guys: *Danny (The Best Looking one) (Vocals and Guitar) *Dougie (Little Vocals, Guitar) *Harry (Drums) *Tom (other Lead Singer, Guitar)
Busted Consist of three guys: *James (Vocals and Guitar) *Charlie (Vocals, Guitar, Drums) *Matt (Vocals and Guitar)
Song Writing
Mcfly's debut album Room on the third floor was written by Danny, Tom and Busted's James. Harry and Dougie cannot write Lyrics. James is exceptional at writing lyrics. Nearly all of Busted song's are original and all written by James. Busted's Matt can also write lyrics but leaves it to James mostly.
Room on the Third Floor
The name Room on the third floor was because of a night in a hotel room that danny and tom had shared. Basically they were unhappy with the room but stayed and wrote about it. Thats in the hit song, "Room on The Third Floor" The album is a good album although they do sound alot like their friend's Busted. Busted and Mcfly are really good friends who write together play togerther and have toured with eachother. Whether that brings Mcfly down a notch im not sure as they are constantly in the Shadow of Busted and now that Busted have split up many of Busted fan's are starting to like Mcfly for the reason that both styles of music and lyrics seem to sound the same. Although Room on the third floor is a good album you tend to get bored easily if you listen to it too often. The vocals are quite good although some of Danny's are not strong enough for his rough husky voice but Tom seems to be on the right track. The first three tracks are the best, here's a description about them:
Five Colours In Her Hair (Track 1)
"Five colours in her hair" The first track on the cd is your average pop song got a good beat and is uplifting enought to get anyones attention for a while.
Obviously (Track 2)
"Obviously" is quite a catch song also as well as uplifting, the lyrics are average but there's something about it which makes it worth listening to.
Room on the third floor (Track 3)
"Room on the Third Floor" is a great song I think because not only again is it catchy but it makes you really listen to the lyrics although they are pretty simple they have a deeper meaning.
Busted
Busted have many hits songs and due to the fat that I think Mcfly are in Busted's shadow I think Busted is the better band because they are more balanced.
Both Artists
Both Artists are very good, both using simple lyrics but also in most of their songs are depth.

Not really my cup of tea... interesting that you like them at all - I am surprised to see that when looking at your other music/ musician reviews. You simply love music, don't you? x

McFly might as well be Busted, they look the same, sound the same.

Advantages: You will be singing songs from this album for months to come. Disadvantages: They used some of their album songs as B sides on their singles, which seemed a little unfair.
Advantages: If you dont have daughters 12 or under you'll never hear them Disadvantages: Some people have daughters 12 years or younger that listen to them. meaning we have to subjected to them on the radio and some idoits telling us their brilliant.
