Rooster are a four piece band-Nick Atkinson (Singer), Luke Potashnick (Guitar), Ben Smyth (Bass and backing vocals) and Dave Neale (drums).

Rooster's first single was the incredibly catchy 'come get some', which has as huge rock/pop feel to it-especially the chorus, This song makes you feel like dancing-or as the song says 'shout it from the rooftops'. Its no surprise that this song was a hit for the boys.

With the follow up single, 'Staring at the Sun' also released before the album the band were bound to have notched a fair few fans. 'Staring at the Sun' is a rock ballad with a massive chorus which will stick in your head from the first time you hear it.

After the album came the brilliant single 'You're so right for me', with its catchy beat and guitar rifts this track will make you jump around the room and leave you feeling good.

The band forth single was the ballad 'Deep and Meaningless'. With the bass player swapping his bass for a piano its a beautiful song but by no means the strongest song on the Album. This song has a beautiful chorus and is well well sung but it just feels like there's something missing from it.

In my opinion the best song on this album is 'Platinum Blind', with its completely strange lyrics about maxing out a credit card it certainly sums up what Rooster are all about-FUN. 'Platinum blind' has the huge chorus and guitar rifts which Rooster are becoming known for which helps make this a brilliant catchy song.

Another one of the best tracks on this album is 'Angels Calling'. A beautiful song which will have you thinking about anyone you have ever lost.

Other tracks i highly recommend are 'Joyride'-a brilliant up tempo track which'll have you dancing. 'She don't Make me feel' with its catchy chorus and woo woo will have you singing along in no time. 'Drag the Sunrise Down' is another brillianly written and sung track whill will have you wanting to see what these guys can do live!

I don't think there's a bad track on this album but there are a few songs which i don't feel are as strong as the rest, 'On the Road', 'Standing in line' and 'To die for'-all good songs but not brillant. 'On the Road' and 'Standing in Line' sound similar to other tracks and 'To Die For' just doesn't make me feel like its anything special.

Overall a brilliant debut Album with well written songs and brilliantly sung and played. All credit to the band for penning this Album themselves a creating so many brilliant songs.
