This is a g8 cd i feel. I have had this cd for 1 month and i think it is the best .No it doesnt have tupac rappin in it but it is his words that came from him and his super artist mind. all of these tracks on the cd are said sung rapped etc by various of different artists. this cd is for any tupac fan it is a look into the other side of him deeper into his life, of wat he did for fun none of the gangs and shootings and that but poetry from the heart from feelings that he was going through when he wrote these poems think cd i think is superb ,a must get cd. i bought it for about £8 at bluewater in hmv it was on offer. What attracted me to this item well i am a big big big tupac fan and this is the only cd i havent got so far i have got every cd brought out in england sso far so i thought ill get this to see what it was like and after listening to it i got really into it so good heres a list of the songs 1. tupac interlude 2. wake me when im free 3.can u c the pride in the panther(male version) 4.when ure heart turns cold 5.u r ripping us apart 6.tears of a teenage mother 7.god 8.and still i love you 9.can u c the pride in the panther(female version) 10.if there be pain 11.a river that flows forever 12.the rose that grew from concrete 13.in the event of my demise 14.what of love unspoken 15.sometimes i cry 16.the fear in the heart of a man 17.starry night 18.what of fame 19.only 4 the righteous 20.why must you be unfaithful 21.wife 4 life 22.lady liberty needs glasses 23.family tree 24.thug blues 25.the sun and the moon
one song that i really like is 'what of fame' this song is only 20 seconds long but has a realli big impact people might thing fame i would love that but this songs says different it says 'everyone knows your face everyone knows your face and never again are you alone' this changed my view on fame i thought you no fame everybody wants it but i dont think i would like to never be alone again sometimes you need to be alone to sorts things out with yourself not everyone else.
What of love unspoken this songs talks about love and im sure we have all had these situations where what is the consquences of love unspoken keeping from that person all not telling what you feel about that person this song is good because it really gets to you inside because im sure we have all said we have loved someone but have not heard it in return or have but that person has not meant it so i like this song aswell because it explains true emotions. hope you like my review thnx for reading

Full Title: The Rose That Grew From Concrete Vol. 1. Personnel includes: 2Pac, Q Tip, Mos Def, Outlawz, Geronimo Pratt, Dead Prez, Tre, K-Ci & Jo Jo, 4th Avenue Jones, Babatunde Olatunge, Danny Glover, Quincy Jones, Russell Simmons, Nikki Giovanni, Sarah Jones, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Sonya Sanchez, Lamar Antwon Robinson, Rha Goddess, Dan Rockett, Mac Mall. Producers include: Jamal Joseph, QD3, Eric Rico, Voza Rivers, Mos Def. Engineers include: Tyson Leeper, Michael Dunston, Denis Degher. Includes liner notes by Afeni Shakur. Tupac Shakur's work and iconic importance have attracted an even greater degree of respect and attention after his death than they did during his lifetime. Unparalleled in the hip-hop world, Tupac's posthumous fame finds its precedents in rockers like Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison, bad boys whose message was deeper than their hedonistic image suggested. The Tupac legacy continues apace with THE ROSE THAT GREW FROM CONCRETE. Essentially a various artists collection, it finds a wide variety of artists contributing spoken word performances of Shakur's poetry. Dashes of jazz, reggae, funk, and hip-hop accompany rapper Mos Def, poet Nikki Giovanni, actor Danny Glover, and others as they interpret the prose of the late rapper. Despite Shakur's gangsta image, most of his poems reflect a belief in positive social change through the efforts of an enlightened community that he sought to encourage.
