Advantages: All songs on the album are great, original, interesting lyrics. No E Street Band. Disadvantages: No E Street Band.
...Finding myself on Oxford Street (biggest shopping street in London) one Saturday I decided to pop into HMV. The plan was to just quickly spend my crisp £5 gift voucher and then be on my way to satisfy my hunger at that filthy but cheap and delicious kebab shop…Of course things didn’t go to plan and they never do when I go past HMV. It’s such a huge shop you can’t help but spend ages looking at all the various videos, DVD’s and CD’s.
Being broke all I ended up buying was Bruce Springsteen’s Lucky Town album. My gift voucher covered it and left me with a penny change to donate to the “homeless” Romanian asylum seeker outside. (Well I am broke so I couldn’t give any more…)
I’m quite a big fan of Springsteen which is pretty unusual for someone my age but I think his music is great and he has to be one of the greatest rock artists ever...

Advantages: Sweet , The Story Disadvantages: Vocals
...!
I think this is a good song and really liked it at it's time of release.. This is definitely Britney's Old sound! She even sings differently these days ? She sounds very nasally on this song and as though she is singing on a walky-talky kind of thing , the way her voice sounds. Her vocals aren't that clear , but clear enough to be able to make out what she's singing about. To be honest , this song is probably the song which I dislike listening to Britney singing this. I don't think this song shows Britney's full vocal-potential , although it is a fun song! I think it's Britney's style of singing that makes Lucky 'her' song ; I don't think no one else could sing this. Although I like this song , I must admit that it is quite cheesy. My least favourite part of the song is when the man says 'And The Winner Is Lucky'. I think it's quite...

Advantages: Nice, pleasant, melodic music Disadvantages: Not exactly original, won't get you dancing round the room
..."He soothed the souls of psychos and the men who had the horn" sang The Pogues in Sally Mac (can't spell the rest) and this reminded me of that sentiment.
It's really good: Lucky Jim play emotive songs that wend their way between Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley and David Gray. Good, quality melodic pop, in other words, with easy on the ear vocals. If you like male singer songwriters, you should like this (even though it's a group not a person).
Originally released in 2004 to (apparently) critical acclaim, this repackaged version of the album has three additional new bonus tracks.
For those in the UK, the single "You're lovely to me" is currently (May 2007) being used by Kingsmill in its new television ad. Well worth a listen.
Maybe slightly downbeat but I enjoyed listening to this album and it's well worth a try. No...
