...No trip to France, and certainly no sojourn in the Ile-de-France, the region surrounding and encompassing Paris, could ever claim to be anywhere near complete if it did not include a visit to the Royal town of Versailles. Versailles is of course home to the world's (rightly) most famous palace, but not only that: it contains many fine town houses, churches, a Cathedral, and is a town well worth spending time in. Before the seventeenth century Versailles was just the location of a Royal hunting lodge, built by Louis XIII, the remnants of which are incorporated into the central structure of the palace as we know it now. See you in the Morning? Yes, you probably will!
Review of See You In The Morning - Mint Royale by  steve0898

Advantages: Lots of feel good tracks
Disadvantages: Not as good as previous releases

...-good song with some good accoustic guitar and a happy beat. Some soft vocals start it off and a bit of rap kicks in from a guy that sounds like Dizzee Rascal. Little Words is where the album takes a little nose dive. It's too relaxed for me and for Mint Royales reputation. It sounds like they're trying to rip-off Lemon Jelly putting in sound effects of frogs and stuff. The composing on the track is good as are the lyrics but it doesn't really fit the album. Singin' in the Rain! Yes, this is one from the Golf GTI advert. This wasn't originally planned for the album as was a remix initially but due to popular demand it was added. Quite rightly so! Fantastic track which is what makes Mint Royale what they are. Their remixes tend to be better than their studio productions I find. Harpy has an oriental theme to it, lots of strings playing... ...Mention Eric Coates to most people these days and you might be met by a blank stare and the words: "Eric Coates?" No, sorry. I have never heard of him. Who did he play for? Yet at one time Eric Coates was seen as an up-and-coming modern British classical composer. Eric CoatesEric Coates 1886 was born in and lived until 1957. He was widely acknowledged as a fine composer of modern light classical music. The CD The Music of Eric Coates is expertly performed by the band of the Royal Yeomanry Band. And perhaps here it has to be said that the music of Eric Coates, when not being completely militaristic might best be described as quasi-militaristic. And that is not an insult or necessarily a bad thing. For one must recall that for men of Coates' generation, there lives had been formed in the terrible heat of the trenches of World War One...
