Advantages: Fantastic bassline. Original sounds. Good chioce of tracks. Disadvantages: It's music designed for sound systems. Sound quality suffers.
...are taken from the 1970s and compiled under the ‘Ocho’ label. The album is over an hour and four minutes long.
Cassava Piece is the first and arguably the best track. It is from the ‘Original Rockers’ album and is the best introduction for any listener wondering what is to come. The second track ‘Baby I Love You So’ carries on from the first with the same addictive rhythm but with the voice of Jacob Miller on top singing the song from his 1992 album ‘Who Say Jah No Dread’, a great album itself. The third track ‘555 Crown Street’ is as promised, weighed down with bass and followed by an alternate dub track by King Tubby who engineered the album. If you haven’t heard any August Pablo material before, you’ll probably notice the melodica sounds before long. Its ghostly original tone could not be a better compliment to the sounds that those who...

Advantages: What better way to counter Britney? Disadvantages: Took her a few years to kiss Madonna
...incredibly different, and she would be kicking herself much more than say Mary J Blige who gave 'Umbrella' to Rihanna. The success of the track would mean that Xtina's self-titled debut album would top the US Billboard, replacing the Backstreet Boys. As a single, 'Genie in a Bottle' was also responsible for dethroning Will Smith from the top spot on the US Billboard, and in the World chart the hugely sexual track was to be succeeded by Britney Spears herself, with 'Crazy'.

Advantages: Wonderful musicianship Disadvantages: none unless you have a very narrow mind
...I can't believe no one has reviewed or rated this album as yet! So, what does the name Dread Zeppelin conjure up? Well, if you're thinking along thelines of Dread - could be reggae, and Zeppelin.. something to do with rock legends Led Zeppelin... you would be half way there. There's a bit more to it than that though. It is Led Zep, 'reggaefied', but with an Elvis Presley impersonator on vocals. Yep, you heard that correctly... Led Zep, reggae style with Elvis singing. Sounds nonsensical perhaps? Wrong!
Okay, the thing about this band is that they took their music very seriously... this isn't just a spoof or micky-take of Led Zep. This is a band that plays the music superbly, and actually does something you would not expect - it adds to the music of Zeppelin. Let's not forget that Zep themselves toyed with reggae a few times...
