It was another saturday night sat at home with friends watching tv, drinking beer and setting the world to rights and then......... "Too much, Too young, Too fast!"...we stopped talking we looked at the tv and we were in awe!!!! Yes okay they look and sound very similar to AC/DC and with the fact that like AC/DC they have 2 brothers in the band...Ryan O'Keeffe on drums and Joel O'Keeffe lead guitar and lead singer, (the band also comprises of David Roads on Guitar and backing vocals, plus, Justin Street on Bass and backing vocals), thay have also stated in interviews that AC/DC are one of their main influences, they do have their own way of doing things and they seem to be doing it pretty darn well.
I have to say that of the 11 tracks on the cd 'Runnin Wild' that they have slammed together (with the amps on 11) track 3 'Too much, Too young, Too fast' has to be my favourite, its got great riffs, brilliant vocals and such an amazing beat that gets your feet tapping and your head banging the second it starts!!!!
With every single one of the tracks written by the O'Keeffe brothers, they really are very imaginative and explosive with their words and playing.
The track titles are:-
Stand up for rock'n' roll Runnin' Wild Too much, Too young, Too fast Diamond in the Rough Fat City Blackjack What's Eatin' You Girls in Black Cheap wine & Cheaper Women Heartbreaker Hellfire
originally from warrnambool, a small victorian town in Australia the group decided to go to Melbourne and make a name for themselves in the rock and roll industry and since doing that in 2006 when they appeared on the '2006 big day out festival' they've gone from strength the strength travelling all over the place and making themselves known to many people worldwide.
And i for one am very glad that they made it to the UK, and are even set to perform at the 'Donnington Download Festival' on the 15th of june this year!!!!.
So if you want some good rocking, with a heavy beat that will get you jumping around and nodding like a churchill dog then this is the cd you need to get your hands on, im so glad that i did (even if its been nabbed by my other half and is now in residence in his car).
In the words of Airbourne "C'mon Drink your Beer, drink your wine, lets have a good time!"
