Access
Ponderosa can be found in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire. If coming from Manchester, you need to come off Junction 26 off the M62 then onto the A638 to Cleckheaton. From there the centre is signposted. If coming from Leeds, then take Junction 27 then follow the A62 towards Huddersfield, through 6 sets of traffic lights into Heckmondwike, then from there the centre is signposted.
Once at the centre, there is a large gravelled area to park on which is free. There are 200 spaces, plus room for coaches. It is then a minute walk to the Centre. Disabled parking is available right outside the farm grounds. Tarmac walkways around ...

We have bought a year pass for 2 adults and 2 children for £55. I think this is excellent value. Because I have a pass, I can take the kids over to the centre for an hour after school, without having to pay.

Advantages: Fairly small easy to get around, lots of variety, cheaper bread! Disadvantages: None really.
and on a recent trip when I put some shopping under my niece's pushchair I actually managed to leave her raincover on an empty checkout and when I rang them up they popped it in with my sister's shopping, I was very pleased indeed (as was my sister!).
Overall I would recommend Iceland, the 'round pound' value on most items makes it very easy to keep track of what you are spending whilst you are browsing the store, you can generally find most things you need here (with the exception of decent fruit and vegetables - fresh ones anyway).
I have shopped here a few times in the last month or two and I always tempted by their special offers but I find myself coming away having spent less than £20.00 to feed myself and my fiance for a week, bargain!
