The three girls hero-worship GUM, they see themselves as his collection, and in respect of this they choose the surname Fossil as they were collected just like his other fossils. Petrova comes up with a vow to honour the name fossil as it's theirs and theirs only, and no-one can say it's because of their grandfather.

Advantages: A great watch, some real talent and some heart breaking scenes. Disadvantages: None I really loved it.
This film doesn’t have a really well known cast, it doesn’t have any breath-taking special effects and it isn’t full of sex. However this film did touch my heart, it gave me an insight into life, love and loss.
The film is about a 17-year-old girl, called Sarah, who loves to dance, her dream is to become a top ballerina. She goes to an audition for a top dance school in New York. Her mum was rushing to get to the audition so that she could see her daughter dance but on the way she has a car crash and dies. Distraught and heartbroken Sarah blames herself for her mother’s death. She packs all of her ballerina clothes into a box and stops dancing. She goes to live with her father, who live in a rough American neighbourhood in a pokey flat which is small and damp.

I studied BA Russian and Soviet Studies at Portsmouth University from 1988 to 1990. Unfortunately, I did not complete the four year course, due to getting married and then having a baby a year later.
The course was the reason I chose to go to Portsmouth, moving 210 miles from my home in Lincoln. I have been interested in the USSR and the Russian language since following the successes of the Soviet team (especially the gymnasts) at the 1980 Moscow Olympics.
I became fascinated with the Cyrillic alphabet and wanted to learn the language. I had an opportunity to do this with a short night school course as a teenager, which whetted my appetite to study it further.
