Tequila and table dancing in Tijuana, Mexico

Advantages: Good shopping, bars and clubs
Disadvantages: Can be sleazy

I spent the summer of 2003 working in California and during that time, I paid several visits across the border to Tijuana. When I told my work colleagues I was planning a trip, I was greeted with various, mostly negative reactions. "I hope they let you back into the states" "The police are corrupt, they'll arrest you for anything and take bribes". Tijuana is notorious for trouble and has a bad reputation amongst lots of Americans, who will no doubt have a story about "a friend of a friend who was arrested for crossing the street and has never been seen again" but my opinion is that, it is fine to visit as long as you are sensible. * Passport/visa information * Americans do not require a passport to cross the mexican border, but should take id such as a current driving licence. Visitors of other nationalities should ...

Review of Tijuana (Mexico)

* Top Brass . .

Advantages: Quick security, cheap, effective.
Disadvantages: Can be cut.

. . You can get this type of lock almost anywhere, and pay peanuts, or shell out forty Pounds or more. Take your choice, and buy what you need. Basically, you really do get what you pay for. You can buy via mail order or go online, but brass is heavy, and some firms charge a lot more than the true postage price, also the same applies to the cost of packaging. Padlocks are sold as various types, and these are classed as "long shackle" ones, this means they will fit ordinary hasps & staples, as well as other difficult items like chains etc. My experience of using them is on my old Navy kitbag, These locks are difficult to break into, but not impossible. You normally unlock them with a key, which is more awkward than a mortise lock for instance. The locks are made for practical purposes, so are not designed to look pleasing to ...

Review of Long Shackle Brass Padlock

*I have a brass Nozzle! . .

Advantages: No rust, will last a lifetime.
Disadvantages: Price.

You may have seen reviews on Rehau before, and the chances are, they were written by me. I do like quality. Rehau have a good name in this industry. The Rehau company are a large international concern, employing over 15,000 people. They have premises in 170 different countries. They have been making stuff like this since just after the war. They have an interesting website, have a look here :-http://wwwrehau.co.uk The nozzle in question, is for a standard half inch bore hose, (bore meaning internal diameter, not as in Boring). The quality is very good, and the price of just under a fiver may well make you opt for a cheaper plastic one. Not a problem, just bear in mind that next year you will be buying another one, whereas if you go for the brass one, it can last a lifetime. You will be able to even run it over with the car! This ...
