of the pop phenomenon that is S Club 7. Miami 7, the BBC's biggest export after the Teletubbies, has made Bradley, Hannah, Jo, Jon, Paul, Tina and Rachel household names in over 100 countries, given them a huge debut album and a string of top 5 UK hits. Their second series, LA 7, is similarly blessed with some of the shiniest pop going, although, thankfully they've given up putting the words "s" and "club" into every song. Aside from the R&B-lite "Natural" (up there with Britney Spears's best) and a supremely chilled cover of Urban Species' "Spiritual Love"--which together take care of the seven's more sophisticated side--7 is a full-on party bag of fun. Like party pieces "Love Train", "Bring The House Down" and the single "Reach", which follow the same route as the Spice Girls' "Stop" to high gloss Motown and unashamed cheese, the sole purpose of every track is to get pre-teens and drunk students alike on their feet and dancing. And while there's still not been an album to touch the Spice Girls' debut, 7 is proof that there really ain't no party like an S Club party. --Dan Gennoe

S Club 7 - Carnival
With an accompanying "access all areas" television series, S Club's Carnival 2002 tour was

billed as a defining moment of live music to match Lollapalooza. From the opening sequence of seven warrior drummers marching from the auditorium on to the stage, to the walkway that hovers precariously over the heads of the audience, the show clearly has enormous aspirations. Assisted by stunning stage projections, colourful dance routines and costumes, the seven singers successfully manage to conjure up what the title promises: a flaming hot fiesta. Apart from the inclusion of selected tracks from their third album Sunshine, the show differs little from their previous nationwide tour, with favourites such as "S Club Party", "Bring It All Back" and "Reach" all getting priority billing in the show. In a belated acknowledgement to all the mums and dads in the audience, Jon performs a powered-up rendition of Beatles classic "The Long and Winding Road", and the show ends with a pumping medley of 1970s and 80s party hits. The Carnival show may not go down in the history books as one of the defining moments of 21st century popular culture, but it's certainly a spectacular which deserves to be remembered (well, in the short-term at least). On the DVD: Carnival on disc has glossy and colourful visuals, just like the photos in the teen magazines S Club regularly front. The material is occasionally spoilt by cheap-looking visual effects, which would not look out of place on a 1980s edition of Top of the Pops. The 5.1 Stereo soundtrack, though, is excellent and successfully recreates the dynamism of the concert. The bonus features are an improvement on previous S Club DVD releases but not particularly original (an episode from the tour TV series Don't Stop Movin' and a lacklustre picture gallery). --John Galilee

Advantages: Lively - full of fun Disadvantages: Not to everyones tastes
...and for me, it's probably S Club 7.
S Club 7 started at the end of the last century, late 1999, brought together by pop guru Simon Fuller (creator of the Spice Girls no less) out of a group of 10,000 hopeful singers. As the name suggests, the band consists of seven members. We have the boys – Bradley McIntosh, Paul Cattermole and Jon Lee, and we also have the four girls – Rachel Stevens, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O'Meara and Tina Barrett. ... ...point drawn against bands like S Club is that they don't write their own music. Once again, fair enough, but a combination of a top class songwriter and a band who can make it sound brilliant can often be even better than someone who writes their own material but can't sing for toffee. Examples of this sort of thing are prevalent in the music world – Elton John, Meat Loaf & Celine Dion all have the majority of their music written for them by ...

Advantages: Some very good tracks with lots of different styles of music. Disadvantages: A few weaker tracks.
S Club 7 is a well-known, good pop band which (surprise, surprise) has seven members –
JO is a sporty female with short white-blonde hair and attractive blue eyes. She’s the main singer of the group and appears a bit of a show-off.
HANNAH is also glamorous and sporty, though she looks much younger than Jo and is more popular.
PAUL is muscly and doesn’t have a very good voice. The band could have done better without him from the ... ...S Club 6!
RACHEL is a very good looking character, but is seen more like Posh Spice after having watched the television series.
TINA isn’t really one of the public’s favourites, being a quiet member of the band. In the video of Don’t Stop Movin’, the make-up artists have obviously paid more attention to her, because for a change, she looks as decent as the rest of the group!
JON is now quite hard to tell apart from Hannah, ...

Advantages: GOOD POPY ALBUM Disadvantages: A BIT CHEESY!!
...Tina, Jon and Paul are S Club 7. They burst onto the scene with ‘MIAMI 7’ the hit Kids TV Show on BBC 1 about the band trying to get there big break. The show was very cheesy but you got to know the members of the band and it also features music from them, which is on this album. I have not bought the album ‘S Club’ and I don’t intend to either but my younger sister bought it and she keeps blasting it out of her stereo ... ...is the mixture that make S Club 7 different from other ‘kiddie’ groups. Here’s my track-by-track review: S CLUB PARTY Pure Pop, that’s all this song can be described as! This is rocky and there’s lots of Woooooooo's in here, its also very dancy. Jo starts of this song and the others join in as backing vocals and give this song an edge, which is different from most on the album. This one mentions all the S Club's names ...

Advantages: Good music Disadvantages: Which is put to waste!
All the latest hype about S club 7 (Thats their real name!) has really been getting to me lately so here I am letting out all my thoughts and fury! The club have proved quite succesful and all have brilliant talents but some members of the pop group have been putting these talents to waste recently so after giving you some info on the group I'll tell you what they've been getting up to! So where shall I start...? S Club 7 were first recognised as ... ...of my CD collection!
S Club 7 since then have released many singles all sung by the group members themselves which are~ Bradley McIntosh, Paul Cattermole and Jon Lee, Rachel Stevens, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O'Meara and Tina Barrett. All great people although I have NEVER met them in reality! All great singers as well so I'm not dissing them there! All there latest singles have been getting better and better, ever since the millenium I think they've ...

Advantages: Some great pop songs Disadvantages: Weak tracks (which there shouldn't be in the first place) are all crammed together at the end
...bad pop album; it's fantastic! S Club's second offering may be the worst pop album this year, but this debut certainly wasn't. Bring It All Back is a pop classic, and although the album may not live up to the opening track, it tries very hard to! Every track is memorable up until Viva La Fiesta, then the only other good tracks are I Really Miss You (an absolutely gorgeous song) and It's A Feel Good Thing. The others towards the end are all, like ...
