When I heard for the first time that Metallica starts working on the classic album I thought "Wow, cool! It might be the best 'metal-simphonic' album ever made!". And now I've listened to it...
It's sad (but true, he-he). The album is WEAK. I mean, it's weak for Metallica. The only song that really sounds great, I think, is "Until It Sleeps", the others sound much worse then before :( As for me - they've lost the rage and power of 'metal' versions (James' "f**ks" only make you feel it sharper)... The orchestra plays somewhere in background and is not a real 'fifth instrument' of compositions. I heard some albums recorded by metal bands with orchestras which sounded much more interesting.
Generally - I think I will not ever have a will to listen to this album for the second time. It's sad.
