When I heard that Metallica were releasing a double CD, live album- I thought great! I heard a loads of good reviews about it, so of course I rushed out and bought it. But althought it has a large number of good songs on it, I feel it was a let down. I don't think the songs fit together with the orchestra very well and I would even go as far as to say that after listening to it a couple of times it started to annoy me. I think that Metallica could have made a better job of this and that S & M was too hyped up.

Advantages: S&M is a completely new concept , no other band has ever done anything like it, great sound Disadvantages: It has a lack of songs from the first album Kill em all and is missing some classics which would have been interesting to hear such as fade to black and orion
