Desperately Seeking Susan is a fantastic movie starring singer Madonna (in her first major movie role), Rosanna Arquette (Pulp Fiction, The Whole Nine Yards) and Aidan Quinn (Practical Magic, Haunted) amongst others.
Rosanna Arquette plays an extremely bored housewife, Roberta Glass, who loves to read the personal ads in the newspaper. It seems she is specifically interested in a series of ads placed 'Desperately Seeking Susan' and eventually decides to go to the meeting place mentioned in the ad to see who the poster and 'Susan' are.
