Advantages: Easy listening and unique Disadvantages: Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
...quite caught on to The-Dream just yet, the critical reception from media sources was incredibly positive. Rolling Stone magazine described it as one of the most likeable R&B records of the year, whilst Entertainment Weekly graded the album 'A-'. The title of the album is short for 'Love Me All Summer, Hate Me All Winter' and apparently this has nothing to do with the weather, but rather that when you are hot people cannot get enough of you but when you are cold no one is interested.
An R&B artist would not be complete without the skeletons in his closet, and the controversy surrounding The-Dream actually refers to a feud with child (teen) hip-hop sensation Chris Brown. Many of you will have heard the huge track 'Bed' by J Holiday last year, just another one of Dream's song writing credits, and Chris Brown took offence to Dream not giving...

Advantages: A Musical for everyone. Disadvantages: This is the orignial recording.
...review is of the original recording. It may sound out of date but you can now get many versions including those of the original cast on both cassettes and CD/ DVD.
My album contains the full soundtrack from the overture through thirty different tracks to the finale. Advantages: JBJ playing alone before the band; good tracks; different styles Disadvantages: A few weak tracks
...there is potential, but it's not carried through. Jon seems to be feeling the (excellent) lyrics, but they aren't conveyed accross brilliantly. 6
4. Don't Leave Me Tonight - Quite a grungey sound for the time, mediocre. 5
5. More Than We Bargained For - Another ballad, but much better. An excellent beginning to it - and the feeling is put more confidently.across much better in this than Track 3. (I'm actually playing the songs as I'm writing about them, and I don't want to change this one) 9
6. For You - There are good bits to this, but it's not one of my favourites. It does get better towards the end, but the chorus is poor - and the music sounds like a barn dance. 6
7. Hollywood Dreams - Definetely the best song on the album. A real gem. I know people will be quick to disagree - and despite the different genres - it is like Mr Brightside...
