Hoy os voy a hablar sobre el último disco que ha sacado al mercado este grupo sueco que es, sin duda, el mejor grupo de Suecia después del éxito multitudinario que tuvo ABBA. Este grupo de origen sueco nació en 1986 con su primer disco que fue "Pearls of Passion". No fue un éxito de ventas en su propio país y en países cercanos (en España no salió a la venta este disco y las canciones que incluía las grabó y utilizó Per Gessle en un disco que lanzó en solitario. Las canciones las grabó para este primer disco de Roxette con la cantante Marie Fredriksson. Advantages: tuneful rock with a latin flavour
Disadvantages: all the lyrics are in spanish

...Juanes delivers the most fiesty, danceable rock you've ever heard. He's a Columbian rock star who's huge all over Latin America and Europe, and deservedly so. To my English ears, his sound, which draws on lots of latin dances, is really fresh. It's just a shame that people think artists who sing in Spanish can't make it in Britain, cos this guy's the best antidote to depressive angst-ridden boys with guitars ever. He's a voice from the land of eternal summer come to rid you of the rainy-day blues. 'Un dia normal' (I don't think that needs a translation) is his second album, and a really good place to start. The first track, 'A Dios le pido' is a prayer full of the joy of life. Advantages: Lots of lovely versions of some Porter Classics
Disadvantages: A couple of bad notes, and if you don't like Porter, you won't want this album

In fact, both Williams and Costello seem to do the same with their songs "It's De-Lovely" and "Let's Misbehave" respectively. Of course, one can hardly sing any of these three songs without a touch of humour, since that's how Porter wrote them. Lastly, but not least, the final track is an old recording of Cole Porter himself singing his beguiling song "You're the Top". Rumour has it that he wrote dozens of verses to this song, and their cleverness is unsurpassed - even by Porter himself. With this track we find out exactly how un-musical Porter really was - and to be totally honest, it wasn't all that bad (hell, I've heard worse get into the final stages of Fame Academy and American Idol).
