Breaking away from the electronic parameters that defined his earlier releases, the eclectic Canadian-born artist known simply as Mocky ventures into more experimental territory with SASKAMODIE--his first effort on Crammed Discs. Recorded in legendary Ferber Studios in Paris and co-produced by Renaud Letang, SASKAMODIE sees Mocky dabbling in acid jazz, instrumental funk, lounge, and retro soul as he shows his skills on a wide range of instruments (everything from piano, organ, and recorder to bass, guitar, and percussion) and collaborates with the likes of Jamie Lidell, Taylor Savvy, and Feist.
