Advantages: Funny, Gore Disadvantages: Not everyone likes horror
THE STORY
The "Satan's Little Helper" of the title is a computer game which a young boy, named Dougie, is obsessed with. So much so that at Halloween he dresses up as Satan's Little Helper and goes looking for Satan. What follows is a comedy-horror tale of Halloween costumes, mistaken identity, violence (random and pre-meditated) and the funniest shoplifting scene in film history.
I enjoyed the film; for such a ludicrous plot the continuity is flawless. There's no computer generated nonsense either - just plenty of fake blood being chucked about.
THE CAST
Alexander Brickel as Dougie Whooly
Katherine Winnick as Jenna Whooly
Stephen Graham as Alex Martin
Amanda Plummer as Merrill Whooly
Joshua Annex as Satan Man
I thought the acting was pretty good; the cast boast decent CVs in their own right. Stephen Graham was in ...
Advantages: The fury and harshness might be some people's cup o tea... Disadvantages: but not mine
- Steve Asheim - Drums
The band are very anto-Chritian and this is re-inforced by stunts such as an upside down cross burned into Bentons forhead. The band claim to be Satanist and their lyrics most definitely reinforce this.
Genre...
To give credit to the band and the music alot of my dislike will quite naturally come because I am a strong Christian and I am not amazinglt fond of heavy metal at the best of times. But this stuff is actually quite scary...and I have never in my life been scared by music before. I did after listening to them have a quick flick through my friends collection and this band is a cut above most of the death metal...again, if you like that sort of thing...the guitar's and drums are played better than most, but so fast it's unbelievable.

Advantages: Harder, punkier sound, Eddie Argos' wit and frank honesty Disadvantages: The times when Eddie Argos tries to tunefully sing
In the years of their existence, Art Brut and their singer Eddie Argos have always been indie outsiders. This seems quite appropriate for a band whose name is the French label given to the 'outsider art' movement. It's almost as if they are trying to dodge the mainstream appeal of their art-rock contemporaries.
However, for Art Brut, being on the outside has evidently given them a lot of song writing scope, and their latest album 'Art Brut vs. Satan' deals an awful lot with Argos' frank and honest opinions of bands and the music industry.
On the song 'Demon's Out' Argos out rightly states 'The record buying public shouldn't be voting' and laments the fact that 'nobody likes the music we write'. On the face of these bold statements you might not take an immediate liking to Argos and his songwriting, but it's his self-deprecation, humour ...
