Frank Bridge - Piano Music rediscovered

Advantages: Excellent selection and performance of piano works by Frank Bridge
Disadvantages: A few pieces are not very interesting

Frank Bridge was an early twentieth century English composer. His works are not widely known, but are played increasingly, and more recordings are becoming available. Some of his later works, such as his piano sonata, were influenced by Scriabin. This CD is the second of three, and covers a wide range of styles, but mostly in his earlier style. Most of the pieces on this CD are fairly easy to listen to, and can be enjoyed by the majority of classical music lovers. The opening piece, Etude Rhapsodique, is an etude appropriately played by Jacobs, in the grand manner (of Liszt and other nineteenth century virtuosi), full of late nineteenth century panache, but with Bridge's own distinctive voice. The second piece, Berceuse, is played beautifully, a gentle piece as the name would suggest (a lullaby) but again with Bridge's own ...

Mr Bean - Vol. 2 DVD

Advantages: Hilarious comedy, good viewing
Disadvantages: only 3 episodes, expensive to buy whole set individually

. He still acts as a child and can't see why grown ups act the way they do. Episode 2: i) The first sketch opens with Mr Bean buying a portable T.V. for his flat dull and old fashioned flat. He has much difficulty trying to plug it in after unwrapping it and finds further trouble when he tries to get good reception. Eventually he discovers that the only way to get reception is if he sits in a part of the room where he cannot see the screen. Typical I know but this is Mr Bean.... As a result he is distraught, so In a brain strom, he strips down and assembles his clothes (even his underwear is removed!) and puts them on the chair. So the television thinks it is him and starts working. That is until the power runs out as the meter runs out of money and Mr Bean is left in the dark. Naked. V. funny and I am glad noone comes in to visit him ...

This album aren't sounded so much in Lima's radios than "Fijacion Oral Vol II" on my own, perhaps the foreign language and the same music style as Fijacion Oral. This album contains this song: 1-How do you do 2-Don't Bother 3-Illrgal 4-The day and the time 5-Animal City 6-Dreams for plans 7-Hey you 8- Your embarace 9- Costume makes the crown 10 Something (It is not the Beatles' song) 11-Timor ---------- This album has another reedit where she add another song " Hips don't like" that was recorded in English and Spanish that probably are the best song of this redit album with diffrent version in Latin America, anther for Europe, another to Spain an UK and another to Japan ...
