Well at last it has appeared as I requested this. In November last year I saw this advertised on the television and wondered if it was as good as it seems. I was a bit worried as I have bought many an 80's flop only to find that all the songs have been by one band and appalling at that and it has gone straight to the bin.
I however kept seeing this television advert and put it on my wish list to Santa. However Santa wrote me a nice letter saying that he could not get into Woolworths to buy it on Christmas Eve as it was jammed packed.
So come the sales, off I trotted and priced it up at HMV, Woolies and other places and it all seemed to around the same price £15. Now I am not really a cd person, I prefer most of the old vinyl days which I collect and probably have got over a 1000 records but my player broke.
I took the CD to the counter and they said you know it is a set of 3 discs. Wow value for money. The cover looks like a black chalkboard and it has School Reunion on in white and then The 80's in pink and underneath it has 3cd's! 60 hits!! in white. The back of the cd cover tells you what is on all 3 cds. The cd was created by Virgin Records which I was a bit surprised at as at first I thought it was
a Friends Reunited one.
When opening the CD case, there sits all the 3 CDs very similar to the covers but with cd1, cd2 and cd3 on them. They are black in colour. There is a little booklet inside which is tells you the same information that is on the back cover.
I have actually got this playing now and I will tell you all the songs and which CD it is on.

Well what a lot of songs to type out but I wanted to do this for you so that you would have an idea what is actually on it.
I would say that the cd denotes the eras of the New Romantics when we all wore those white frilly victorian shirts and frilly skirts, mmm lovely eh! Men wore burgundy and grey to be fashion. This was the time of daft haircuts and perms for girls. I was a New Romantic and loved Adam and the Ants and also Boy George. I wanted to marry Boy George as well as Adam Ant. Do you remember Footloose by Kenny Loggins, great hit and this was just after Fame had come out.
The cds are correct in every detail to the original records and are great. I was just leaving school in the early 80s and during CDs 2 and 3 becoming a young woman out on the town with the girls. Boy did this cd take me back. I went to see Nena in concert and can sing 99 red balloons in German. Mel and Kim and Respectable, gorgeous looking twins, one sadly died of cancer. I was 18 when this came out and went on a Club 18/30 holiday.
This Cd would be recommended for all you 30 somethings or people who love the music of the 80's. Whilst typing this out, I am singing and bobbing around to the music. With the current revival of the 80's going on this is a must for youngsters as well.
Well I cannot go into detail of every song here otherwise I would be here till next year. Brilliant CD, the best I have ever bought and as I turn the cd off, I now return back to been a disabled 37 year old. Ahhhhh I remember when you could hear the lyrics, lol.
It took me down of all the times I was happy in the 80's when I started to live and the turning of my 18th and 21st Birthdays, the fashions, the songs, the hairdos.
It is availbable at all record stores as it is in the charts and Supermarkets and WHsmith and Woolworths. Karen :0)
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
Not a bad review. very helpful to people buying it, but what is that Spandau Ballet song? you will need to edit that bit!!! lol! I know what it is because I have the CD myself, and have written a review about it as well. I'll leave you to fill it in.

I have this Album myself and just wanted to see what others thought of it, I agreed throughly with the review and yes it actually does take you back to the 80s nostalgia of good and bad times of when i was at school. I liked this review as it was honest and kept a good description of the Album, I play the album when my kids are around and tell them a little of the times when i was at school and funny things that happened back then. Well done for keeping the review short and sweet.

I love 80s music, much of it was better than some of the stuff around nowadays. x x x
