i had heard Eve in the ruff ryders before and bits of her music which i had downloaded off napster so i was pleased to hear that she was releasing a new single (entitled 'whos that girl') and a new album so i thought id give it a listen as i had quite liked what i had already heard. After just the first couple of tracks i was already impressed and realised that all the tracks have the same quality and brilliant lyrics and beats but all sound different. Which is hard to acheive. With many albums where i have really liked a few songs the rest all seem to sound the same but with this album they didnt at all. There was also a varity of genre with some of the tracks a bit more reggae or soulful and some rap. There also were many different recognised artists working with the female rapper such as her co-ruff-ryder DMX,jadakiss and Da Brat which helped make the tracks sound different from one another. However i did feel that there were a few weaker songs in the middle of the album such as "thug in the street" or "you had me you lost me" but all the brilliant ones entirely make up for it.
This album would be particularly suitable for people into rnb, hip-hop and rap and like to hear a bit of everything.
I would really reccommend this album to anyone into rap, even if you wern't to keen on the single because in my opinion its one of the worst songs on the album. I think it's great!
