Advantages: Instinct of survival is just about bearable. Disadvantages: Its just fuzz. And really samey.
Man, the things i buy when I'm bored.
I'd heard good things about Napalm Death, but when I bought this i was really disappointed - its just really hardcore fuzz music. Just when you think they are going to be old school metal, they really rip - the drumming goes mad and the fuzz goes into overdrive. The lyrics are.. well, i cant make them out, hes just shouting like a loon. I'd love to pick out a few good tracks here, but there's not really any ... ...awful. I personally can't stand the vocal, guitar tone and hardcore drumming. On the subject of drumming, it's basically a mix of slow bits in 4/4 with some faster bass pedal sections when it all goes haywire. "The kill" is truly awful. Its just fuzz, shouting and fast drumming ( I mean pretty fast). Jeez, its boring to listen to. Every song on the album (there are 28) sounds really similar.
