As a Runrig fan, I try my best to get to all the gigs that I can, buy all the albums and cd single that I can and I can truely say there hasn't been one Runrig album that I have been dissapointed with. Everytime a new album comes out, they have something new to offer but still keep their feet firmly on the ground of what they are about.... Skye! They truely are a band who deserve more credit than they get.
Calum and Rory Mc Donald are bound to be in amongst the best songwriters of the 20th, 21st century. Their lyrics never fail to impress their loyal fan base as well as their brilliant live performances. Perhaps the best example of this is contained within one of their best recordings of all time, Searchlight. Not only was it on a mainstream record label (Chrysalis), this record was a hit and is full of a roller coaster ride of emotion from the energy driven Soil Ghauridh, right down to one of the most poignant songs I've ever heard, called Erin.
Anyone who loves Runrig and anyone who fancies trying them out should make this a starting point. It as an album, another benchmark in Runrigs career since the 1987 American album 'The Cutter and The Clan'.
2004, Runrig have just celebrated their 30th anniversary with a gig at Stirling Castle - it proves that Runrig have the staying power and they live on!.

Hi there, You are a big fan ? Cool, I wondered on missing a lot of songs and the mistakes in here, so the song is named "Siol Ghoraidh", one of Runrig's best ... The 30th anniversary show was great ... Many regards, Sven (Zoobremia)

Welcome,
Can’t say I have heard of Runrig but a reasonable review. Better ratings would result if it your review had more backing info.
