Advantages: Calm, mellow, occaisionally chilled album
Disadvantages: One or two poor tracks

...An interesting collection of tracks make up this album. The majority of tracks are slow, with a few being more upbeat. This album isn’t a happy album, mainly due to the fact that it was written at around about the same time as Phil Collins’ marriage ended. It is evident that Phil has spent a lot of time on this album and that he is one of a very small amount of artists who like their music to be perfect. Every instrument you hear has been played by Phil, which shows how fluent he is in different types of instrument. THE TRACKS There are 11 tracks on this one disc album. Most have a similar theme to another, that being the standard combination of love and life which we come to expect from Phil Collins. 1 – Both Sides Of The Story – An upbeat opener to the album with the trademark Phil Collins drums, this is not a bad song... ...Phil Collins...Hits.. Released 1998..Virgin Records Ltd. This album is one of my top 10 albums and I would play it a lot,I have always liked good old Phil way back when he was drumming with Genesis. THE TRACKS?. 1.Another Day In Paradise..5:22. Great track this but not one of my favourites and one I wouldn?t rate. 2.True Colours..4:33. I really like Phils version of the old Cindi song,I think its because I love this song anyway. 3.Easy Lover..5:03. Don?t like this song,never did!! 4.You Can?t Hurry Love..2:53. This was a great track and I loved the video as well. 5.Two Hearts..3:25. Love this one,from the film Buster,It reminds me of the film and a great little song. 6.I wish It would Rain Down..5:28. Very sad little track but I love these slow type of songs... Read review

...Some of you who’ve read a few of my previous albums may have picked up on the fact that I like Phil Collins. Well, I’ll let you into in a widely known secret that isn’t really a secret anyway – he’s my favourite solo artist! I bet you never expected that! …..Ok, you saw it coming a mile off. Back to the review. ;-D NB – Genesis is a favourite band of mine too. Phil Collins was in Genesis, don’t you know! :-D But Seriously is a great album. It was the album that introduced me to the music of Phil Collins, although this album is quite a bit different to his previous works, following a more upbeat theme. He’s turned to a more live sound now, going from a jazz-rock sound to something more pop-like or even alternative. Every track is worth a listen in its own way.
