I have had this album since christmas so a couple of months now and im surprised it hasn't broken or wore out because I listen to this so much!!! Its really a great album to pick up your mood if your feeling depressed. It just makes you think that you could be a lot worse off! I do really love this album! :-)
Daniel bedingfield shot to fame a couple of years ago but since then has not really released a really popular song and has been overtaken in the popularity stakes by his younger sister natasha, who has been having multiple success! This was until at this years BRIT awards where daniel was amazing along with his sister done a duet. I think, and many agree with me, That, that was the performance of the evening!
Daniel has had an eventful life like a rollercoaster. He shot to fame and then was unheard of for a couple of months till he tragically had an acident which resulted in a near death experience, That was the lowest point in his life. He has now released this album and I can see his life on its way up again as I see great things for him this year and future years to come!
The front of this album is very intriging. It has a picture of daniel's face cut in half
colour wise. One half is in shades of dark blue and very dark and the other is in reds/oranges. I do not know why its like this apart from the fact that the album is about second chances adn maybe he hopes the second part of his life will be better. The album is aimed at all ages as the front cover looks mature but it still has a bold eye-catching look.
I think this album is good compared to the rest of his releases and i hope he has great success in the future as this album is brilliant. He really showcases his talents here as he has written nearly all songs on the album apart from all your attention which he co-wrote. His other talents illustrated on this album are playing the piano, lead vocals and human beatbox.
The songs: Growing up: This song has a really good dance beat to it! I really like this song! Its about how hard growing up is emotionally and mentally. And how no-one understands how hard it is, no-one listens to you even though your the voice of tomorrow
complicated: This song has a reggae beat to it. Its not one of my favourites. Its about how difficult he finds it understanding girls. He sings about the way they are so complicated and nothing seems to please them.
Wrap my words around you: This song is a ballad. I really like this as it has a kind off twisted meaning that no-one really understands! Is he trying to say that you shouldn't try to hard to find your love as they will find you or is he singing about trying to hold onto the one you love. The chorus is a bit more up-beat which is good, its the best part of the song.
all your attention: This is a ballad but a faster rythem to it. This song is a lot about jealusy, Its about wanting all the attention and even being jealous of the stars as they are getting some of the attention. its quita a sad song if its true as it means his totally dependant on someone!
The way: This a really rocky edge to it which is fantastic as its like nothing else on the album! Its about how the world is constantely changing which results in him thinking about how love totallys cahnging as well.
Sorry: This song is really touching as it is dedicated to his sister. He just wants to tell her how sorry he is for treating her badly. He explains how he always says he is sorry but then just does it again. He describes how he blames it on his A.D.D but thats just an excuse. The album at its best!
don't give'r it all: another favourite track of mine!typical bedders, a real poppy track. It explains that you should treat girls a bit mean treat them keen as if you give them it all they will take avantage and just abuse you
Show me the real you: This about his childhood love! Its not one of my favourites but stilla average song. Its where he meets her again and he wants to meet the real her not the girl behind the barrior. He wants her to make another impression rather than the one he has got from when they were at school. This song explains the album a bit better,.
Nothing hurts like love: This song has already been released and had massive chart success. It about how much it hurts when your heart gets broken. And your left to with tears in your eyes.
Holiness: its a really mellowed out track with a great message behind it! Its about how one person can change you and put you back on the right track even though if you've been totally selfish before this.
All the little children: This song is really confusing. Its defently the worst on the track as it doesn't really have any meaning and the beat is non-exsistent and the singing sounds awful.
Draw you (demo): The sound is really soft and it thought-provoking. It talks about how perfect a person can be in someone elses view. It seems like his talking about someone who is dead or he does not see very often as it seems distant and he talks about spirits.
A kiss without commitment (demo) : This is about bertrayal. Its about how a kiss without being in a relationship means nothing. Its much better when youre ina relationship as you have lots of love to share and that reflects in the kiss.
