. After pruning in the spring, and when the soil is moist, sprinkle a small handful of fertilizer around each rose. Hoe or rake it in lightly and evenly, keeping it clear of the stems. Repeat the application about a month after mid summer, when the roses are developing a second flush of bloom. Do not apply a general feed later in the year, because this encourages soft autumn growth that may suffer frost damage. A dressing of sulphate of potash, however, applied liberally in early autumn, protects late shoots by helping them to ripen. Foliar feeding (spraying a liquid feed on the leaves and bypassing the roots) is usually only needed to obtain extra-large blooms and leaves on exhibition roses. It may help, however, in a prolonged drought, or on chalky soils: in both instances roses may have difficulty in taking in nourishment through the roots ...

Advantages: Some good songs, eventually Disadvantages: Some meandering tracks, nowhere near as good as their first album
This album has received some very cool reviews, and some downright bad reviews, and although I do feel it was a disappointment, there are still some good moments. The warning signs were there - it had taken the band years to even release this – the Stone Roses have gone down in history as one of those notorious bands with huge gaps before that “difficult” second album.
It could never, realistically, top their first album, the superb “Stone Roses”, but we all wanted them to - making it seem like a let down all the same.
“Second coming” starts oddly, with “Breaking into heaven” an 11 minute piece, with ambient jungle noises. It’s certainly not like the guitar-laden gems the Stone Roses are famous for, and it doesn’t work as picking up where the dance-anthem “Fool ...

I was feeling a bit sorry for myself the other day (no specific reason why - just one of those days), and when in that frame of mind, there is only one thing which can ride me through until a better mood is upon me.......chocolate! While in Morrisons, I looked all through the usual offerings of things like Kit-Kats, Bounty Bars, Maltesers etc., but none of them seemed to appeal to me. Then, my eyes rested on a wire trolley-load of boxes of Cadbury's Roses, on special offer, at £1.99. My eyes kind of lit up, my spirits lifted slightly, and I dumped one of the boxes in my trolley. I actually forgot I'd bought them until I got home and unpacked the shopping. Now, I don't trust myself with this amount of chocolates, especially if I'm using them as comfort food, as I can be in danger of eating the whole box all at once - so, I divided ...
