I was browsing in the library and came across The Pact by Jodie Picoult, and read the back and was intrigued so I got it out, and I?m really glad I did as I really enjoyed it.
The book starts setting the scene with the Gold and Harte parents meeting up for a Chinese as they have done for years and then going home to their next door houses and each set getting calls late at night advising them their child is in hospital. Cameron sees it as black and white and that Jamie is guilty of murder and he arrests him and sends him for trial. Cameron's wife Allie however can see the grey area, as she loves her husband more than life itself and puts herself in his ...
