Quality & Consistency Of Tracks

"Cry For You" is a very upbeat, electro-pop type song. It was edited for the UK release by Dave Ramone. It's not as long as the original, it's been cut short for the clubs. Definitely a party hit!

"Because I Love You" starts off very calmly before breaking in to vocals. It's sounds quite angelic to be honest. After 45 seconds, the additional beat is added. In comparison to "Cry For You", the beat isn't as strong and powerful, however, it gives the song the boost it needs to become catchy.

"Can't Get Over" is the original mix before the edited version for it's UK release. I think it sounds better and it doesn't feel to overdone with the synthesizers and to typical of the electronic and club scene (eg. Basshunter's music and all that). The lyrics are very interesting and again, this song is one you'll grow to love. Her vocals are especially powerful on this song.

"Candy Love" starts off with a basic beat before easing in to the vocals. Her voice is a lot softer in this compared to a couple of the previous songs. If you listen carefully you can pick the bass guitar and keyboards used in this song. One of the calmer songs on here.

"R.I.P" is a more haunting and thought provoking song. It's a little different in content compared to the other songs, however a similar beat is used that featured in "Candy Love" and "Because I Love You". It's probably not as slow as you would have thought it to be, but seeing as she isn't talking about the physical death of someone it probably figures.

"Looking For Love" reminds me a bit of some of Abba's music when it begins. I'm not sure if this song is a cover or not, there's one on here that's been done before but I just can't remember which one! Even though the lyrics seem a little sad, the uplifting power of the song doesn't make it seem all dreary. September's definitely making a statement with this song!

"Satellites" is one of my favourite songs off the album. I believe it's one of her older songs and it sounds completely different to the other songs. This song almost sounds rebellious when you listen to the lyrics. She's making the point that just because you're perfect doesn't mean you're safe from failure. A good message. I think this is electronic music at it's best!

"Flowers On The Grave" is a really intriguing song. It's sounds more like a ballad, even though there is uses of keyboards and mixers. It's a bit depressing when you really think about the lyrics. I think it's about the death of a relationship and it really does make a point. I'd recommend this song as one of the first you listen to if you get the album.

"It Doesn't Matter" is a very feisty song! We're back to the upbeat stuff again! It's a lot like the previous songs mentioned. The lyrics are different though (of course). Another song making a point to people that some people are just to full of themselves to realize that they aren't getting anywhere.

"Sacrifice" is a little different to the other songs. The background beats are a little different giving a different feel to the song. So again, giving a serious story a little lift. As the title suggests, it's about sacrifices. Basically, get out there and do something!

"A Sad Song" isn't really that "sad" sounding. Actually, it's quite the opposite. This song reminds me of The Veronicas music, it sounds little rocky in parts but mainly pop-rock. She projects her voice a lot more in this song, maybe because it's based around feelings of anger people would possess?

"Freaking Out" sounds a little 90's country in the intro. And then we get the techno style influence. It works really well, I think! It's another statement song where she puts a point across. This song describes describes how someone might feel on a bad day!!

"Taboo" is another rebellious song stating someone's independence. It's really catchy and has a very "poppy" influence. I'm not sure by what she means by "Taboo" in this sense, whether it's the taboo of relationships and all that but it's still a very good song with a strong meaning.

"Midnight Heartache" has a very euro-pop style to it. It would definitely do well over here as I believe that there is a gap for these type of songs. It doesn't actually sound as you'd expect it to be. Midnight Heartache suggests the breakdown of a relationship, but there isn't much reference to anything like this. You'll have to think about it for a deeper meaning.

"Until I Die" is my 2nd favourite song on here. Again, it's an older song of hers and this one featured on the album is not the newly remixed one. And again, I think this one sounds better. The overall theme and feeling to this song is quite mixed. Some parts are quite thoughtful, and others a little upfront. This one has the traditional September beat as I now will refer to it with the use of some interesting sounds.

"End Of The Rainbow" is very piano/keyboard based. Simply, at the end of the rainbow she'll be there, wherever you are she'll be there! I didn't like this song to begin with and I didn't think it was that catchy, but over time I grew to love it. Just get used to the differences between this and other songs.

Value for Money & Rating

Great. I got it as a present after finding it on the Internet so I'm unsure of how much it is. It's an import too, and I think you can only get it from Sweden and Germany. It has a range of songs from her different albums so it's like the "Best Of" really.
I think this is what we need, something different for the charts. It's a lot of the same and it's really boring. Here is an artist that has some talent and doesn't sound as if her voice has been completely edited to sound half decent. Definitely a 5/5 from me!!
