The Expérience Cinématique that is Le Grand Rex

Going to the cinema during your visit to Paris might not top of your list of things to do, but Le Grand Rex is certainly not your everyday cinema. Histoire Le Grand Rex was opened in 1932 and is the oldest cinema in Paris. It has a long and interesting history, from its opening night on the 8th of December 1932, attended by a ritzy, glitzy list of 3,300 VIPs, to its occupation by the German soliders, who used it as a place to watch propaganda films. The building is decorated in a typical art deco style, whilst the inside, particularly the 'Grande Salle' - the biggest room, which also boasts the biggest screen in Europe - is a mixture of art deco and baroque style. Le Grand Parc, Tigers and Gladiators in France?!

Advantages: Unusual and brilliant spectacle
Disadvantages: Its all in French!

stamina. I believe the park sells two day tickets as well if you want to take it more slowly. There is a hotel on site. The park is set amidst a tranquil woodland setting. There are various "walk-around" historical settings which have buildings, shops and craftsmen working. There are many people around dressed in appropriate clothing and each area is very atmospheric. There was a Medieval City, an 18th century village and also a Market Town of around 1900. There are various restaurants and snack areas dotted around these sites. We bought some drinks which seemed a reasonable price and we also took our own picnic. There were plenty of picnic areas. There were toilets throughout the park but I was informed by my son that some of the urinals were pretty much on public display so you have been warned! Now we come on to the "Spectacles ...

Le Grand Curl Waterproof

Advantages: Waterproof,
Disadvantages: Doesn't curl very well, expensive, clogs

for a day at work without any mechanical assistance and for a day with the aid of an eyelash curler. I found that the curl given by the mascara on it’s own was minimal and that no one noticed the difference. I also found that if I applied more than one coat, then the mascara tended to leave lumps on the end of my eyelashes. The second day’s effort was more successful although that was probably due to the effectiveness of the eyelash curler. People certainly noticed the difference and I had gorgeous wispy, fluttery eyes My conclusion is that the Le Grand Curl Waterproof is a slight improvement on the original only because it is waterproof. It still does not curl as well as one would expect and it is very pricey compared to normal mascaras. Unfortunately, if you want luscious curly lashes, you will have to invest in a pair of eyelash ...
