Advantages: Duran duran at their best Disadvantages: None
. The audience's on those first two occasions had been mostly male, but after the release of Rio in 1982, this changed completely!
I went to see them for the fourth time when on tour promoting this album, and it was scary! Screaming girls pushing, shoving and fainting, which spolied the experience for me. The band sounded great, but I never went to see them live again after this.
The band :-
Simon Le Bon - vocals
John Taylor - bass
Roger Taylor - drums
Andy Taylor - lead guitar
Nick Rhodes - keyboards
Seven and the RaggedTiger was released in 1983, the third album form the band, and the last one to feature the original line up with Andy Taylor on lead guitar.
DuranDuran carried on over the years that followed , with drummer Roger Taylor also leaving the band. A few years ago the original five members got back together and released an album ...
Advantages: Excellent price for CD and DVD package Disadvantages: DVD could have lasted a bit longer
As I have been reviewing some of DuranDurans albums on here I thought I should tell all of you about this one.
Astronaut is the bands newest release from last year that have now had a few hits from. You may remember that Reach up for the Sunrise made it to the top ten with a good beat and everybody waving their arms into the sky "Reach up for the sunrise". Some of the other hits include "taste the Summer" which recently a Supermarket chain aquired as it was a catchy tune to list their products to !
This album proves that DuranDuran are still as good today as they were back in the early 80's.
If you do not remember their music that well from the 80's it was roughly the same time that Spandau Ballet were around and in some ways the songs were slightly similar but DuranDuran had a faster pace to them, also Soft Cell started out ...
Advantages: the reflex, mid price cd Disadvantages: none
The reflex flec flec flec flec flex, i lost count of the number of times I heard this song playing on the radio and it goes to show how popular duran were at the time, union of the snake was a little poor but was saved by the video, and riding high on the success of save a prayer and is there something I should know, duran should have known better, still its easy to say in hindsight. I take the dice is wicked, as is when the lights go down, and the superb instrumental TigerTiger shows what rhodes does best. this is a landmark album for the band, there first uk no 1 album, and desrvedly so. ...

Album Notes
Duran Duran: Simon LeBon, Nick Rhodes, Andy Taylor, John Taylor, Roger Taylor. Additional personnel: Andy Hamilton (saxophone); Raphael DeJesus, Mark Kennedy (percussion); Michelle Cobbs, B.J. Nelson (background vocals). Recorded at Air Studios, Montserrat, West Indies. By the release of 1983's SEVEN AND THE RAGGED TIGER, Duran Duran were genuine MTV-anointed superstars, which makes this set's somewhat more experimental vibe an impressive step. The band's original goal was to be a cross between Chic and the Sex Pistols, but most of SEVEN AND THE RAGGED TIGER explores a sort of glitter-tinged art-rock that occasionally resembles the first couple of albums by Sparks. There were three enormous hits off this album: the jagged "Union of the Snake," the anthemic "New Moon On Monday," and "The Reflex," which was drastically remixed by Chic's Nile Rodgers for its single release. That version appears on DECADE and GREATEST, Duran Duran's two singles compilations. Critically drubbed upon release, SEVEN AND THE RAGGED TIGER holds up better than many of Duran Duran's other efforts.
