Advantages: A number of highly infectious, incredibly catchy songs Disadvantages: The tracks don't sound as good on CD as they did live
possessed.
There are some great tracks on display here on this album, with the hard edged 'King Leopold's Ghost' really having had a lasting effect on me. I can't ever seem to get this one out of my head - it really is an amazing track. Adequate Seven are a band that never ceased to amaze me, and what with the gang vocals on display on this one, and with the fiery guitars, strong drum beats, and killer choruses - this track does nothing but further my love of the band. Another of my favourites from this album has to be the epic closer 'Pimpin' The Funk, Draining The Blood' which rounds the CD off nicely and truly ends the album on a high leaving you craving for more.
All in all this was a pretty decent album from the band, and had it not been for my high expectations of this album then I probably would have been more impressed by it. I ...
Advantages: Right by times square Disadvantages: The view wasn't great
dressed in there quite hard, but the shower and basin were both clean. Although the toilet scared me because it made the loudest flushing sound I have ever heard, it was almost as bad as the loos on the aeroplane! They had hairdyers in the bathrooms but I didn't find it great so I suggest taking your own and take a travel plug.
Cafe Edison- this was alright if you have been to anywhere else in America then you will notice it wasn't the nicest of food, and after eating in there for 3 days I was glad when I got back to England to have a proper breakfast. It was good value for money because of the amount you got for the price but I would have preferred to eat outside of the hotel.
The lobby looked very posh and after we had been stuck on the tarmac for 3 hours, we were all kind of gobsmacked to see so much space. It was quite open ...
Advantages: Fabulous ending Disadvantages: Some of it is quite dull
Detective Lieutenant William Somerset is just six days off retiring when he becomes involved in the hunt for a serial killer. Aided by Detective David Mills, it soon becomes clear that the murders, although initially random, do have something in common - each of them is the representation of one of the seven deadly sins. Gluttony, for example, is represented by a man so overweight that he was unable to escape from his tormentor. Slowly, the two detectives begin to piece the evidence together, and Mills almost catches the serial killer, nick-named John Doe, at one point, only to narrowly escape with his life. Will they finally catch up with John Doe? Or is he destined to always be one step ahead?
Made in 1995 and directed by David Fincher, this film was much praised on release for being excellent in just about every way possible ...
