Album Reviews: JazzTimes (4/96, p.75) - "...jazz becomes thoughtfully inspired conversation. Rather than parading hyper-virtuosic one-liners, there's a genuine give-and-take that builds gradually, and collectively, to make its points. In all, a small masterpiece where bluesy sounds-of-surprise tickle the mind as well as the soul."

***Lyrics***
Although this CD doesn't come with a complete set of lyrics, but it does have the lyrics for Ring The Bells, which are below:
Ring ring the bells
Wake the town
Everyone is sleeping
Shout at the crowd
Wake them up
This angers deeper than sleep.
Got to keep awake to whats happening.
I can't see a thing through my ambition,
I no longer feel my God is watching over me
Got to tell the world we've all been dreaming
This is not the end, a new beginning
I no longer feel my God is watching over me
Break break the code.
Concentrate.
Let the doors swing open
See through all your walls
All your floors
Now you're in deeper...

Advantages: Ray Charles Greatest Hits ! Disadvantages: ?
...sad song; Ray Charles is more moaning rather than singing it, but as he knows how to do it, gets out a beautiful blues which makes your soul dance. Even though lets you a bitter-sweet taste, it is a pleasure to hear it over and over again. Drown in my own tears, was not written by Ray, Henry Glover is to blame for this smashing hit which was released in 1952 first time. But in 1956 Ray broke all the myths and brought out the very best of this song in his original way, and once again he had another No. 1! 10/10 (3:20)
9) "(Night time is) The right Time" - again another song that was not written by Ray. The song was originally done Nappy Brown in 1954 and was revised by Charles, who is helped in the song by lead Raelette Margie Hendricks. The sound of this song is almost the same since it starts till it ends…what makes you to pay attention...

Advantages: Very catchy songs. Disadvantages: The production is not perfect.
...The year is 1993, 5 years has passed since Kai Hansen, the mastermind behind this band, left Helloween to create his very own band. This is their 3rd effort and despite their previous album, Sigh no more, was more a melodic commercial hardrock album than heavy metal, this record is once again a melodic metal like their first record "Heading for tomorrow". The guys who are also currently playing in Gamma Ray on this record are Kai Hansen on guitars(later he done vocals too)and Dirk Schläter (who place guitars here, but now he plays bass). On this record Ralf Scheepers does the vocals who is nowadays the leadsinger for Primal Fear, Thomas Nack does the drums who nowadays is the drummer for Iron Savior. For people who never heard of these bands, I could say that the music sound a bit like Iron Maiden with typical vocals of Queen. Generally...
