...Here we have a great mind boggling release from those far out funsters "Alien Sex Fiend". Open Head Surgery was originally released way back in 1992 on the Fiend`s then record label Anagram Records. Now they have started their own label "13th Moon Records". For this release, the line up of the band is: Nik Fiend, vocals. Mrs Fiend, synths. Rat Fink Jr, guitar and drums. Doc Milton, guitar and drums. This release is very different to their previous efforts. Some of the songs on this CD are very hypnotic, relaxing and calming, while others are just pure Alien Sex Fiend magic (no pun intended), that is, wild and wonderful . The CD comes with a colored booklet, but it isn't really up to the standard of other ones. I think that, as with other CDs, it would benefit from a brief bio and discography-that way, ASF newbies... Advantages: Good value for money! great features on BONUS DVD
Disadvantages: A few weak tracks, but not really a problem!

...Although i could probably think of better names for the stereophonics great comeback album, "language. sex. violence. Other? is just what the stereophonics needed to push them right back up with today's rock legends. Firstly i will discuss the benefits of the special edition CD and DVD version of this album, and then I will go on to tell you a bit about the music itself. Well… you get a nice little cardboard sleeve on your CD for one thing, always a bonus. And then when u actually get inside, you've got obviously the original 11 track CD, plus a DVD containing various bonus recordings of different album tracks. (Doorman, Superman, Brother, Devil and Pedalpusher) All great tunes, and to have these recording versions in the studio available also is a great extra, and I really recommend you pay the little bit extra to purchase... ...As stated in the title this is the first compact disc by Alien Sex Fiend. It is basically "Maximum Security" with 4 extra tracks. The catalog number is CDGRAM25 and it`s from the famous Anagram Records. The original release of this compact disc included a nice black and white 2 sided poster with artwork by Nik Fiend himself like always. For those of you who are not aware of Alien Sex Fiend, they are a great band from "Brixton" here in the "United Kingdom" and they originally started out back in 1982 playing in the now famous & defunct night club "The Batcave". Back then the original lineup for Alien Sex Fiend was Nik Fiend vocals Mrs. Fiend synths Johnny Haha drums Yaxi Highrizer guitars Back then, this band was simply amazing to see & hear as they always love to shock their fans both in lyrics as well...
