Advantages: A great album for all 'early' Cliff & The Shadows fans. Disadvantages: None whatsoever!
.../Bennett, and it makes one wonder if this was the same (Brian) Bennett who took over the drumming stool from Tony Meehan.
This album retains the raw energy that Cliff & The Shadows had when they came together all those years ago in the 2 I's coffee-bar.
Cliff sums it all up on the original sleeve notes of the MONO LP, when he says "I'd like to end up saying that 'ME AND MYSHADOWS" have had a great time on this LP., and we're hoping you're all going to enjoy it....

Advantages: A CD that can be listened to anytime, anywhere. Disadvantages: Just a couple of weak tracks
..., although excellent, slightly more mellow than Meehan's.
The tracklist contains some real nuggets of musical talent such as 'Nivram', (which is actually 'Marvin' spelt backwards). Meehan's talents as a drummer are superbly shown off in the drum solo, 'See You In My Drums', while Hank and Bruce's ability to harmonize well can be heard on 'All MySorrows'.
Apart from Hanks superb guitar playing he can also play a mean piano, as the track 'Stand Up and Say That' rightly proves.
'Perfidia' shows Hank's ability in the use of damped strings - it is flawless.
'Little 'B' , a drum track by Brian Bennett, is so good it makes you wonder if it really was done in one take as is widely believed.
Although there a couple of weak tracks, overall it is an excellent CD, showing the musical talent that has kept The Shadows in the public eye for decades....

...and evolves into a piece quite reminiscent of something that wouldn't be out of place in Riverdance. This isn't one of my most favourite songs on the album mainly because I am not really a fan of traditional Irish and Celtic music, which this song seems to be influenced by, however, I will listen to it and not skip to the next track.

Track 4 - Dreamcatcher 4.35 (taken from the album Dawn Of A New Century)
The song starts and ends with the short lyrics written by Nikki Matheson who provided backing vocals in the second track "Prayer".
Hear mysilent prayer
Heed my quiet call
When the dark and blue surround you
Step into my sigh
Look inside the light
You will know that I have found you
As with the other songs on this album it is a calming song but thanks to the talents of John Tate who wrote and conducted the music...
