...that someone back in your life. I do like this song but it’s not one of my favourites. This actually would be my 6th favourite from the album. Track2: Swim This song is about not wanting to carry sins around with you anymore and starting again and getting rid of all the sins you have done. This is an ok song but doesn’t really do anything for me. Track3: Ray Of Light I think this song is a very catchy tune and quite a happy tune with a good beat to it, well that’s what I think of it when I hear it. I do like this song it’d be my 5th favourite on the album. I’m not quite sure what this song is supposed to be about but I’d say it’s a very spiritual song. Track4: Candy Perfume Girl I didn’t like this song at all as I found it to be to slow and boring plus it was quite repetitive... Read review

Advantages: A great introduction to Ray Lamontagne and a great set of songs.
Disadvantages: none

...matter of most of the songs being of lost love or lonliness. Others such as 'Jolene', 'Trouble' and 'How Come' have that instant sing along factor which makes the album so enjoyable to listen to. and finishing with 'All the wild Horses' one of the most delicate and sincere album outros around. again this sad beauty is played out so vividly and can bring a tear to the eye. As a debut Release by Ray Lamontagne this album is wonderful and promises so much of the talent this man holds. Highly reccommended to fans of acoustic music.... Read review

...the song is a real feel good number. The song charts the destinies of one boy and one girl from the night of their first date. The song continues to tell of their marriage and eventually leads to the birth of their child.....children....twins...One Boy and One Girl. One boy, one girl Two hearts beating wildly To put it mildly it was love at first sight He smiled, she smiled They knew right away This was the day they'd waited for all their lives And for a moment the whole world revolved around One boy and one girl I have never known anyone to listen to this song and not have a big smile on their face afterwards. 7. In This Life: When I listen to this track I find it hard not to feel a Billy Ray Cyrus influence it sounds so similar to his ballads and I suppose you would have to consider when in Colin's career this was released...
