Advantages: great way to get kids to drink milk Disadvantages: nothing really
I have always loved Nesquik - I remember it being given to me as a treat by my gran when I was very small and then when I was pregnant with my first the strawberry flavour was a major craving. I couldn't get enough. Of course the banana and chocolate flavours are delicious too and as my children were growing up I found this was an excellent way to get them to drink milk as like most kids they wouldn't touch it on it's own. Even my 16 year old still likes to drink it sometimes and it's a nice change from the normal rubbish they try to pour into themselves whenever they get the chance.
It's not too bad calorie wise either if you use semi-skimmed milk with it. 200mls mixed with 15g of Nesquik comes to around 150 calories and you get all the goodness of milk with it. It does contain vitamins on its own though including Vits B1, B6, C ...

Advantages: Thick and Frothy Disadvantages: Takes a while for the lumps to disolve
like mad. Up, down, sideways and backwards. I did find it pretty hard work to get rid of all the lumps the first time. The second time it got easier, and the results were rather good. A very think, creamy tasting chocolate milkshake. It will fill up a tumbler no problem.
For the mousse dessert you fill with milk to the 150ml indicator, pop on the lid and shake like mad again. The package suggests 30 seconds for each of these processes, but I would suggest a little longer. Then you just pour it into suitable dessert bowls and put it in the fridge for a hour.
I have also frozen this and it comes out like a nice ice cream dessert.
These are quite nice, not brilliant but I will buy them again. The chocolate flavour is not too strong, but nice. Very smooth (if you get all the lumps out), creamy and frothy. The strawberry has more ...
