Advantages: Good all round album Disadvantages: Quite similar too previous offerings, but still good
The album "Shelter" is so funky !"TheBrandNewHeavies "have done really well with their mix of funky beats and laid back melodies. Such tracks as "Shelter" & "You are the Universe" are brilliant and some of the best I have heard in a long time. The album is made up of catchy tunes and time enduring lyrics which really make you get up and groove!. I have listened to this album over and over again and I never get tired of it, infact, it seems to just get better and better! I would recommend this album to those who are already fans of the NewHeavies but also to those who have never heard of them as this is a type of music nearly everyone will enjoy, and continue to enjoy for a long time to come! I take my hat off to them as they have really out done themselves with this musical offering. ...
Paramore: BrandNew Eyes
Paramore
Paramore, used to be a quartet band, but for the new album they are officially now a quintet.
Paramore consist of

Their first Debut album was ?All We Know Is Falling? which was released in 2005 it reached number 8 on the UK album chart. Then in 2007 Paramore followed that album up with their now extremely popular album called ?Riot!?
They may be young but they are incredible musicians and if you haven?t listened to them I suggest you give them a chance.

Album Reviews
Vibe (6-7/97, p.165) - "...With SHELTER, the Heavies prove they're still the feel-good band they've always been, serving up a hearty stew of deep grooves, breezy horns, and funky bass lines..." Q (5/97, p.114) - 3 Stars (out of 5) - "...their most cohesive set yet, a simmering collection of sweaty funk workouts dispatched with the band's unique sense of cool." JazzTimes (10/97, p.86) - "...the familiar Brit-influenced grooves are in place....there isn't a whole lot of envelope pushing here, just a pleasant holding pattern."
