Without a doubt, the best track is 'Caribbean Blue'. It's my all-time Enya favourite! It makes you feel like waltzing around the room. 'Book of Days' another favourite, is also on the album - it was featured in the movie 'Far and Away' which starred Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. 'Shepherd Moons' is a brilliant album, probably not quite as good as 'Watermark', but still worth buying.
Advantages: Great music! Disadvantages: Too short!
...Track Listings 1. Shepherd moons
A beautiful, light as a feather opening track. Fully instrumental.
2. Caribbean blue
An album highlight, listening to this song is like pure velvet. Absolutely stunning. The video for this single is breath taking and features Martine McCutcheon before she joined Eastenders! 3. How can I keep from singing
A cover of a very old Shaker hymn. Also a single and has an accompanying video. This is a haunting song. 4. ... ...movie. One of my all time favourite tracks. Enya sings in Gaelic about the traditional "waulking songs" sung by women and used when fulling cloth. Waulking songs are unique to the Outer Hebrides.
5. Angeles
Another haunting song, which rumoured took months to complete. The rich texture of the vocals is astounding! Nearly 1000 layers!
6. No holly for Miss Quinn
Another instrumental. Quite beautiful and easy to play if you are good at the piano!

Advantages: easy to listen to, beautiful music Disadvantages: could fall asleep listening
The music of Enya is the most wonderful haunting stuff. It is mostly of celtic origin, and a great deal of it is sung in gaelic, a wonderful lilting tongue. If you like to just sit and chill out to the sound of beautiful music, this artiste is for you. You will probably know one or two of her songs, like 'caribbean blue', and most of them are in a similar style. A definite must for all you haunting melody fans, Enya has quite a few albums. I would ...

Well this is quite a typical Enya album, which is not a bad thing at all! It is very good, and will entertain when in the right mood for such an album. Tracks of note would be No Holly for Miss Quinn is such a great track, written with great style, and performed elegantly on the piano, and also Book of Days especially now it's not on the TV all the time for that advert. The biggest problem as with most of her albums is that you just get into it, ...

Advantages: Calming, Beautiful and Haunting Disadvantages: If you listened to it whilst driving you may fall asleep
I heard this album a few years ago whilst at a friends house and fell in love with it. I had it on tape and it was quite different to anything I had heard before. I am a rock fan normally but the melodies and her haunting voice just sang to me! This album got me through my Degree as it's great to work to it gets your brain in thinking mode! (My brother actually taped over it and I was gutted, so my fab boyfriend brought it for me on CD) It has the ... ...Away' but these are not the best tracks on the album. There are some Gaellic tunes which really do Enya justice - This woman is seriously talented. I have all her albums and to be honest 'Shepherd Moons' is far and above the best album she has ever made. If you are just finding Enya, forget the rest and buy the best! ...

Advantages: Soft, gentle ambient music, can listen to anywhere Disadvantages: Quite similar to every previous Enya album
been a solo artist, making a name for herself writing and singing Celtic-influenced ambient music. Often, she sings in Gaelic instead of English and of late her collaborators have developed a third synthetic "language" (Loxian) which she also uses. This phonetic language apparently allows her greater freedom of expression and sound than either Gaelic or English. Previous albums include the well-known "Watermark" and "ShepherdMoons", and Enya has also contributed to the soundtracks of several films, most notably the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Enya's music itself is a mix of vocals and some synthesiser generated sound, with a few instruments (pipes, flutes) thrown in. It is often highly syncopated and contains some more unusual features, such as the use of one voice (Eithnne's) to produce numerous backing vocals. This ultimately produces ...

From Bali to Cali- far beneath the Coral Sea?
Multilayered vocals, and a stunning instrumental, including harp, keyboards, and percussion, make this song a pleasure to listen to.
How can I keep from Singing?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How Can I Keep From Singing? is a traditional Shaker hymn reworked by Pete Seeger in the 1960s, when the song became popular as folk music came back into fashion, his version leaving out most of the Christian sentiment of the song and adding a verse.
Enya followed the Pete Seeger version of the song on her album ShepherdMoons in 1991, also releasing it as singly in the same year.
'My life goes on in endless song,
Above earths lamentations,
I hear the real, though far off hymn,
That hails a new creation.
Through all the tumult and the strife,
I hear its music ringing.
It ...
Personnel includes: Enya (vocals, percussion); Liam O'Flionn (uillean pipes); Roy Jewitt (clarinet); Steve Sidwell (cornet); Andy Duncan (percussion). "Heavenly" is the best way to describe Enya's ethereal voice. The Irish new age singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist is a formidable talent with a repertoire filled with gentle nuances and subtle turns. Peaceful and mesmerizing, Enya's expressive arrangements float and flow alongside musical imagery, lyrical poetry, and stunning vocals which are unrivaled, yet often copied. Based on Irish folk-roots, Enya's music is timeless and seamless, without boundaries or limits. Her exquisite vocals sweep through interwoven overdubs and multi-textured instrumentation warmly gilded by airy synthesized strings and keyboards. Her otherworldly voice is trance-like in such songs as the tranquil "Shepherd Moons," "Angeles," "Evacuee," and "Marble Halls." Accessibly lilting, awash in synth strings, "Caribbean Blue" is this album's answer to "Orinoco Flow," Enya's gigantic worldwide pop hit. The song, as all the others, transports the listener to another place. "How Can I Keep Singing?" is Irish folk music at its best. "Ebudae" is a percussive march with a mushrooming synth, and with its delicate vocals, one must marvel at the beauty of Enya's keening voice.
