Advantages: It's imaginative and unpredictable. Disadvantages: You would need to read the other books in the series first.
'Song of the Shiver Barrens' is the third book of the trilogy, the other two were good but this has to be outstanding and well worth the wait.
I like her style of writing and she brings the characters and situations to life, which is not easy in a fantasy book.
The story picks up where it left off in the Shadow of Tyr.
Ligea has betrayed the Brotherhood and is trying to subdue and rule the land she has been raised in. Her son Arrant has reached an age where he can be returned to his father Temellin to begin his Mirager training with a view to becoming Temellin's heir.
But there are others with more of a claim to the title than Arrant and whats more his Magoroth skills are proving to be beyond his control and a danger to all. There are challenges to be met and surprises in store, but I'm not going to spoil a good story by giving any ...
Advantages: Reletively cheap, good sound Disadvantages: Not the best available
After using AAX series cymbals for many years I was dubious at best when asked to try out the XS20's... My fears were soon laid to rest as they have what can only be described as a fantastic sound! They are cast really well (in the same way as the top notch sabian range) The hi-hats were especially impressive with a clean durable sound that works for many different styles from rock to jazz. The ride was the only let down for me, it lacked tone in the bell of the cymbal and I would stick to the AA in future. Overall in my opinion they are a great set of cymbals however, not what I would use if I could help it. Though the sound is great it just seems to lack something in comparison to ...
Advantages: Price, Sound Quality, Look. Disadvantages: Average Tone Range
Through life, there has always been a few very important lessons. One of these would be "You get what you pay for".

I've tried the whole range of lower-end cymbals by most manufacturers. Paiste is always a first choice due to the price, but dont get too carried away - you can get much better quality by upgrading your budget by as little as £10.
The Sabian B8 range comprises most kinds of cymbals; splashes, crashes, rides, chinese etc, which enables a beginning or intermediate drummer to have a whole range of budget, yet good cymbals, saving a lot of money overall.
The B8 series is probably the most ...
