I'm not necessarily a person who instantly runs out and buys an album on the strength of one song but I HAVE been a big fan of many Timbaland-produced tracks in the past, from classic Aaliyah tunes to the more recent ones he has done with Nelly Furtado or Justin T . . . Timbaland has a knack for turning everything he touches to gold recently - he has garnered international attention for his work with Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake and others. Now he releases something of his own, an album of collaborations produced by himself. Overall the album is good, there are some absolutely fantastic tracks and great potential singles, but there are also a few turkeys aswell. Here is my track by track break down: TRACK ...
...being replaced with 'Timbaland'. Its not the best for the opening track, but it is good and well produced. I can't quite fathom the beat for it and it takes a few listens to appreciate it fully. 6/10 TRACK 2: Give It To Me The first single release from the album. Disadvantages: The Fall Out Boy Track is just a misfit!

Shock Value, pretty aptly named actually, but one hell of a creation. Timbaland, never even heard a song where he actually put more effort into the vocals than into the production of an album in it's entirety. For surely that is what he is known best for. I recently reviewed P Diddy's latest album, and am a bit slow on the uptake when R'n'B had it's heyday in the 90's, so forgive me for being a bit awe-struck by some of the stuff I'm discovering ...

SHOCK VALUE: A cannily structured album, unhindered by the inclusion of some top artists such as Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake, but dig a little further into the track list and you'll be surprised to find who else appears on this 19 track stunner! I loved a couple of Timbalands songs, including The Way I Are & Apologise never thought about buying the album untill we were on a long car journey and wanted a new album so went looking for Timbaland as i knew i liked a couple of songs already. Took a while to find it but when i did i couldn't be more pleased with it. I love nearly all the songs that are on this album and it has hardly left the car CD player since i bought it. ...one of the best albums out at the moment. The cover is original with brillaint design and clear track list on the back. Brilliant value for money as far as CDs at supermarket prices go, i would definately recommend this to other people if they are into this kind of music. ... Read review
